We're looking for a Senior Product Designer - Retail Experience to simplify the complexity of Chewy's e-commerce ecosystem across the customer journey. In this role, you'll address high-impact problems across search, browse, cart, checkout, and more-designing experiences that are flawless, scalable, and smart.

The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for 401k and a new hire and annual equity grant.

Exempt salary team members have unlimited PTO, subject to manager approval. Team members will receive six paid holidays per year. Team members may be eligible for paid sick and family leave in compliance with applicable state and local regulations.
Base Salary Range
$149,000-$245,000 USD

- Design with impact. Translate customer insights and business objectives into sophisticated, scalable product experiences across platforms and devices.
- Lead the journey. Own the UX design process end-to-end-from early discovery, flows, and wireframes to high-fidelity visuals and production-ready assets.
- Simplify complexity. Create experiences that demystify the e-commerce ecosystem for pet parents, from their first search to their final checkout.
- Think in systems. Build for today and tomorrow by crafting flexible UX frameworks and contributing to a cohesive design system.
- Collaborate deeply. Partner with product managers, engineers, researchers, and content strategists to bring ideas to life-and push them even further.
- Communicate with clarity. Articulate design decisions clearly to teammates, partners, and executive leadership.
- Lead and mentor. Set a high bar for craft, process, and creativity while helping others grow in their design practice.
Who You Are:
- You're a strategic designer who sees the forest and the trees-balancing high-level system architecture with thoughtful attention to detail.
- You plan and prioritize optimally, taking ownership of your work while aligning with broader team and business goals.
- You build trust across teams through thoughtful collaboration, clear communication, and a shared focus on outcomes.
- You operate with depth and curiosity, always digging into the "why" behind customer behaviors and business needs.
- You mentor by example, actively contributing to a high-performing team and sharing your knowledge to elevate design quality.
What You'll Need:
- 5+ years of experience in UX/Product Design, Interaction Design, or similar.
- 1+ years of experience leading large-scale product design initiatives.
- Strong portfolio showcasing user-centered solutions that drive measurable impact.
- Experience designing sophisticated, cross-platform customer journeys (especially e-commerce).
- Deep understanding of design systems, usability, and UX standard processes.
- Strong storytelling and communication skills, including presenting to senior leaders.
- Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, or related field-or equivalent professional experience.
- Ability to travel as needed and work from one of our local offices.
