Who we are

At Fluxon, we believe that how you build matters as much as what you build. We help businesses navigate their most important technology decisions with confidence, and take responsibility for seeing them through. Founded by ex-Googlers and startup veterans, we’re proud to partner with teams behind some of the most ambitious products, including Open AI, Anthropic, Stripe, Walmart and Google.
Our work spans strategy, design, and engineering — often in complex, AI-driven environments — where clarity, speed and quality are the standard. We use AI intentionally, applying it only where it adds real value and expands what’s possible. Care shapes everything we do.
Inside Fluxon, you’ll find a global, remote-first team of experienced builders, who are curious, kind and serious about their craft. We’re building a place where people can take ownership, solve problems that matter and do work they’re proud to stand behind. If you want to do your best work alongside people who care as much as you do, you’ll feel at home here.

Many of our team members call the Bay Area home, but this role is fully remote across North America.

Who you are

As a Senior Product Designer at Fluxon, you'll lead design end-to-end on ambitious projects, often working directly with founders and product leads to shape what gets built. We are looking for design generalists, someone who owns the design surface, thrives in ambiguity, and cares as much about why something gets built as how it ships.

While specific responsibilities may differ from project to project, you will:

  • Partner with founders, product leads, and other stakeholders to turn business goals into experiences customers love
  • Lead design end-to-end, from discovery and research through interaction design and production-ready execution, calling the right level of depth for each project
  • Make the right call when user needs, technical constraints, and business goals pull in different directions
  • Collaborate closely with clients, PMs, and engineers to set the direction and ship high quality work
  • Bring a point of view on craft, process, and where the field is going, while staying current with new technologies and design trends

Please note: This role requires availability during Eastern Time Zone (EST) working hours.

Qualifications
  • Experience leading product design end-to-end, from strategy through to production ready execution, delivering work that customers love and drives business results
  • Strong judgment and ability on process, knowing when to go deep on research and when to move fast
  • Strong UX foundations across the full discovery and design process, from research through interaction design, user testing and accessibility
  • Strong visual craft across layout, typography, iconography, color, and motion, with the ability to take work to a polished, production ready bar
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills across written, visual, and spoken formats, with experience presenting directly to clients
  • Comfortable collaborating closely with clients, PMs, and engineers, including managing expectations, navigating disagreement, and keeping the work aligned
  • Experience shipping with startups or founding teams, comfortable building from zero without established design foundations or process
  • Experience working with US clients (European clients a plus)
What we offer

Our salary range for this role is $140,000- $180,000 USD per year. We determine individual offers based on your skills and experience, what similar roles pay at comparable companies, and cost-of-living differences by location.

  • Remote-first, flexible work with a budget to set up a work space that works for you
  • Localized healthcare coverage to support you and your family’s wellbeing
  • Flexible paid time off with a minimum of 3 weeks per year (plus holidays)
  • "No internal meetings" on Fridays, so you can focus on deep, uninterrupted work
  • A professional growth budget for learning that matters to you –  whether it’s developing your technical skills or learning a new language
  • A monthly wellness allowance to support your physical and mental health
  • Annual company off-sites, where we gather in person to build meaningful connections
  • A competitive salary that reflects your expertise, impact and experience
  • Profit-sharing, so you can benefit directly from the value we build together
  • 401k contribution program
  • A paid sabbatical program, designed for rest, renewal and fresh perspective
Portfolio first. Everything else later.

Designers spend countless hours perfecting portfolios, then get asked to upload a résumé that recruiters look at first anyway.
We're trying something different.
For the initial review, we only want your portfolio.
Not because experience doesn't matter- it absolutely does. But we believe your work tells us more than a list of companies and dates ever could.
Show us the projects you're most proud of. Curate thoughtfully. Tell us enough about the problem, your role, your thinking, and the outcome that we can understand the impact you had.
If we move forward together, we'll ask for your résumé and dig into your background during interviews.
Until then, pretend you're presenting your work to a client you really want to impress. Because, in a way, you are.

We believe diverse teams perform better, and an inclusive environment is essential to building a successful organization. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives. We are an equal opportunity employer and are committed to providing accommodations throughout the hiring process.

This role may use AI-assisted tools to support initial screening. All assessments and decisions are made by a human reviewer.

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
