Ibotta is seeking a Senior Product Manager to join our innovative team and contribute to our mission to Make Every Purchase Rewarding. In this role, you will own the data model, billing logic, and automation infrastructure that sit beneath every invoice we send, ensuring financial correctness, operational scale, and the flexibility to support new monetization models as our business grows.
This position is located in Denver, Colorado as a hybrid position requiring 3 days in office (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). Candidates must live in the United States.
Not based in Denver? We will offer a relocation bonus to help make your move to the Mile High City a smooth one.
What you will be doing:
Own the billing platform domain end-to-end: billing engine logic, product catalog for invoicing, budget entities, and the canonical billing data model from quote to invoice to ERP
Define and execute a phased roadmap: from billing foundations (data model, split billing, billing intent) through automation (ad product billing, deferred revenue, change orders) to client self-service infrastructure
Lead the design of billing automation that will move Ibotta from finance-ops-driven invoicing to system-driven billing -measured by automation rate, manual invoice reduction, and revenue recognition accuracy
Partner with Finance, RevOps, Engineering, and Legal to translate complex contractual and financial rules into clean, executable product requirements
Serve as the connective tissue between the Billing Experience & Payments product area (client portal, payments) and upstream systems (quoting, pricing, campaign management) 0 ensuring clean handoffs and data integrity across the revenue stack
Communicate roadmap, trade-offs, and emerging opportunities to senior leadership and executive stakeholders
Embrace and uphold Ibotta’s Core Values: Integrity, Boldness, Ownership, Teamwork, Transparency, & A good idea can come from anywhere
What we are looking for:
5+ years of product management experience, with at least 2 years owning backend, platform, or infrastructure-heavy domains - billing engines, pricing systems, financial data models, or similar systems where correctness and auditability matter
Strong technical fluency in data model design, API architecture, and backend system integrations. Comfortable in technical design conversations with senior engineers
Experience translating complex financial, contractual, or regulatory rules into clear product requirements - and a track record of shipping systems that measurably reduced manual operational work
Track record of driving cross-functional alignment across Finance, RevOps, Legal, and Engineering - building consensus on systems decisions that affect multiple downstream teams
Decisive in ambiguity, with strong judgment on when to ship, when to invest in foundations, and when to push back on stated requirements to find the real underlying need
Deep, hands-on AI fluency - not just awareness. You should be an active, daily user of AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot, or similar) and have experience building AI-powered workflows, automations, or integrations
Proven ability to deliver impact in environments with high ambiguity and shifting priorities
Exceptional writing, verbal communication, and storytelling skills - you simplify complexity and rally teams
Demonstrated customer obsession: You proactively seek customer insights and convert them into product direction
Bonus:
Experience with billing or ERP platforms (NetSuite, Zuora, Stripe Billing, SAP) and/or Salesforce CPQ-to-billing integrations.
