Hey there! We're AKKO - a venture-funded & fast-growing insurtech company with a passionate, solution-forward, and collaborative fully remote team focused on disrupting the device insurance space.

Our mission is simple – Leveraging technology to make protecting people’s tech easier and more affordable. Most people’s lives have become tech-centric and AKKO provides customers with peace of mind that their tech is safeguarded in a transparent and seamless way. Backed by amazing investors such as Mundi, Fika, and Pear, we are just getting started!

The Senior Product Manager will lead the strategy, development, and continuous improvement of AKKO’s claims and end-user experience—two of the most critical pillars of our product. You’ll be responsible for aligning business goals with regulatory requirements while deeply understanding the needs of users navigating device protection. Success in this role means delivering fast, transparent, and intuitive claims flows and user journeys that drive trust, satisfaction, and retention. You bring expertise across the full claims lifecycle, a sharp eye for end-to-end user experience design, and a strong bias toward building scalable solutions that delight customers and support operational excellence.

THE DAY-TO-DAY

  • Shape and own the product vision and strategy for the claims and customer experience, ensuring it aligns with business goals, regulatory requirements, and the unique needs of customers navigating device protection issues.
  • Drive the end-to-end product lifecycle for claims-related features — from intake, adjudication, and fraud checks to resolution — prioritizing speed, transparency, and user trust.
  • Partner closely with engineering, design, operations, and customer success teams to deliver high-impact features that streamline claims processing, reduce costs, and improve NPS.
  • Use data to identify and prioritize improvements, drawing from claims funnel analytics, CSAT/NPS, loss ratios, and industry trends to continuously optimize the experience.
  • Champion the voice of the customer, ensuring pain points during the claims process — such as delays, lack of visibility, or denials — are well understood and proactively addressed.
  • Collaborate with operations and legal stakeholders to ensure all user centric product flows meet evolving regulatory standards and industry best practices.
  • Continuously iterate on the claims platform, shipping experiments and refinements that increase automation, reduce friction, and build confidence in the protection experience.
  • Monitor competitors, adjacent markets, and insurtech innovations to ensure the claims experience is best-in-class, differentiating AKKO’s offerings through speed, transparency, and service.

WHAT MAKES YOU QUALIFIED

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in product management focused on end-customer experiences in B2B or B2B2C environments, ideally within high-growth startups or tech-enabled services. Experience in insurtech, SaaS, or technology-driven products is a strong plus, but not required.
  • Proven experience taking products from concept (0→1) through launch and scaling, with clear examples of driving adoption and impact at each stage.
  • Demonstrated strategic mindset, demonstrated by data-driven decision-making, effective metric development, and successful cross-functional leadership with measurable business outcomes.
  • Strong understanding of product development processes, including market research, ideation, and iterative testing.
  • Leverage AI-powered tools and workflows to improve claims decisioning, detect fraud patterns, and streamline user interactions—balancing automation with empathy in sensitive customer touch points.
  • Experience using customer feedback and data to inform product decisions and improvements.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and execute multiple initiatives effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating across teams and presenting to leadership.
  • Analytical mindset with experience in product analytics, A/B testing, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities.

The base salary for this position ranges from $125,000 to $150,000. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including business needs, experience, level of responsibility, and qualifications.

  • Unlimited vacation
  • Paid sick time
  • Competitive health benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance
  • Robust 401k program – to invest in your future
  • Monthly wellness stipend (e.g., gym yoga, meditation, etc.) – we value your well-being

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
