Company

Founded in 2018 by CPAs, tax attorneys, and software developers, Taxbit is creating an entirely new category to enable widespread compliant adoption of digital assets for the global economy. Taxbit’s Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform streamlines and automates customers’ tax reporting and accounting activities for digital assets.

Trusted by leading crypto, tech, and traditional enterprises, Big 4 accounting firms, and government agencies (including the IRS), Taxbit solves compliance challenges at scale amidst an ever-evolving regulatory landscape. Taxbit is backed by leading Silicon Valley VCs with teams located in New York City, San Francisco, Seattle, Salt Lake City, and Europe.

The Opportunity

If you’re excited by building foundational systems that sit at the front door of customer activation and revenue generation, this role offers both massive scale and deep autonomy.

Taxbit is looking for a Senior Product Manager to own the APIs and SDK that power our Tax Documentation product, one of the company’s most important and fastest-growing revenue drivers.

At its core, tax documentation is onboarding infrastructure. Before our customers can unlock transactions, reporting and platform capabilities, they must collect and validate structured compliance data from their end users. You will empower enterprise engineering teams to seamlessly embed tax documentation into their onboarding flows via flexible APIs, robust SDKs and reliable webhooks.

You will lead a dedicated engineering team to evolve our SDK to be more modular, improve clarity for non-tax personas, modernize integration patterns, and meaningfully reduce time to production.

Role & Responsibilities
  • Own the API & SDK Roadmap: Drive execution across our Tax Documentation integration surface area, including submission APIs, validation-only APIs, historical ingestion, SDK workflows, and webhook enhancements.
  • Champion the Developer Experience: Reduce friction in enterprise onboarding. Improve submission clarity, validation feedback, lifecycle status transparency, and event reliability. Shorten time to production.
  • Evolve SDK Architecture: Define how our SDK becomes more modular, flexible and composable as use cases expand, all while preserving correctness and long-term maintainability.
  • Strengthen Validation & Data Workflows: Partner with engineering to refine schemas, improve validation feedback loops, and ensure lifecycle models are predictable and developer-friendly.

Innovate & Automate: Identify opportunities to leverage automation or AI-assisted capabilities to simplify integration flows and reduce customer effort.

  • Deliver Measurable Impact: Define, monitor and move the needle on key metrics such as SDK adoption, integration time, API error rates, validation resolution time, and webhook reliability.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Translate complex regulatory requirements into scalable systems alongside Tax SMEs, while partnering with Engineering, Design, Sales, and Customer Success to support enterprise growth.
Professional QualificationsRequired
  • Experience: 5+ years of product management experience in Enterprise B2B SaaS.
  • Developer-Facing Product Ownership: Experience owning APIs, SDKs, or technically integrated platform products used by external engineering teams.
  • Technical Fluency: Comfortable contributing to discussions around schema design, payload structures, validation logic, versioning, and event-driven architectures. You can weigh trade-offs between flexibility, correctness, and long-term maintainability.
  • Execution Leadership: Demonstrated ability to drive roadmap execution with a dedicated engineering team and deliver measurable business outcomes.
  • Structured Systems Thinking: Experience working in environments where data integrity, compliance requirements, and system correctness are paramount.
Nice to Have
  • Experience streamlining enterprise onboarding for technically integrated products.
  • Hands-on experience with webhook architectures or event-driven systems
  • Background in fintech, regtech, accounting, payments, or other highly regulated industries.
  • Familiarity with incorporating automation or AI-assisted workflows into structured, rules-based systems

Personal Characteristics

Technically Confident: You thrive in backend-heavy, data-driven environments and engage in detailed discussions about APIs, schemas, and system behavior.
Experimentation Mindset: You favor structured experimentation and rapid iteration over upfront over-optimization. You test new ideas and learn quickly from failure.
Client-Oriented and Intuitive: You are comfortable engaging directly with enterprise clients and their engineering teams, easily synthesizing feedback to uncover underlying needs and translate those insights into product direction.
Outcome-Oriented: You focus on measurable impact, especially around integration efficiency and reliability.
Collaborative and Pragmatic: You work effectively across Engineering, Tax SMEs, and Go-To-Market teams, balancing long-term scalability with practical execution.
Curious and Adaptable: You are energized by complex problems and comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment where regulatory and customer needs evolve.
