Build at Auger
Auger is the autonomous operating system for supply chains. It connects enterprise supply chain systems—ERP, WMS, TMS—into a single data layer, then uses AI to detect problems, evaluate trade-offs, and execute decisions automatically. The platform eliminates the coordination tax: the time and capital lost when disconnected systems force humans to become the integration layer between planning and execution. Actions that previously required days of meetings and manual coordination happen in seconds, within constraints the customer defines.

Founded by Dave Clark and backed by $100M from Oak HC/FT. Headquartered in Bellevue, Washington.
THE MISSION

Most supply chain finance is lag. A report surfaces two weeks after the decision point passed. A margin threshold gets breached and no one acts until someone pulls a spreadsheet. The gap between what happened operationally and what finance sees is where money goes to die.

This role closes that gap.

You will own Financial Intelligence at Auger: the product layer that encodes P&L by customer and SKU, landed cost, margin scenarios, and cost-to-serve visibility directly into the Augentic Ontology. Not downstream of the platform. Inside it. When a sourcing decision changes, the financial impact is immediate. When a margin threshold is breached, the system acts.

You are the connective tissue between how finance teams actually operate and how Auger's engineers build. Your job is to make the output credible, explainable, auditable, and trusted enough to drive real decisions.

WHAT YOU'LL BUILD

Financial intelligence that executes, not reports.

  • Translate financial workflows into product requirements. Design AI-powered tools that solve real decision problems: revenue and margin analysis, forecasting, scenario modeling, anomaly detection. Not reporting layers.
  • Own trust and adoption. Financial tools that can't be audited won't be used. You set and hold that standard across every stage of the product lifecycle.
  • Drive AI-agent-compatible design. Shape financial use cases for Auger's agent architecture so AI agents reason over financial constraints, surface cost impacts, and recommend trade-offs in real time.
  • Find the money. Arrive at every customer conversation with hypotheses about where financial waste is hiding. Connect every friction point to a dollar amount. Make the value case impossible to ignore.
  • Collaborate across product, engineering, data science, and design to ensure financial logic compounds with risk, sourcing, and planning decisions across the full platform.
  • Validate in the field. Use your finance domain expertise to stress-test prototypes, surface edge cases, and refine through direct customer engagement.
  • Define success with precision. Margin recovered. Working capital freed. Decision cycle time reduced. Not feature adoption in isolation.
  • Inform the roadmap. Distill customer discovery into actionable near-term priorities and long-term strategy.

WHO YOU ARE

You've worked in supply chain finance, commercial finance, FP&A, or revenue management. You know how financial decisions actually get made inside complex enterprises, not just how they look on a slide.

  • You understand enterprise systems: ERP, planning tools, BI platforms. You've lived the pain of fragmented financial data across disconnected systems. The Coordination Tax applied to finance.
  • You've been through digital transformations and know where financial tools break down: data quality gaps, trust deficits, reconciliation nightmares, the gap between what a model recommends and what an operator will act on.
  • You think in workflows and decisions, not features. Strong product instincts. Balances user empathy, financial rigor, and business judgment.
  • You translate between finance language and software teams. You can articulate why a margin calculation needs to work a certain way, why an assumption behind a forecast matters to the business outcome.
  • You ship credible work and learn, rather than wait for perfection. Comfortable with ambiguity in a product being built iteratively.
  • You measure success by what customers adopt and trust, not by what shipped.

WHY THIS MATTERS

Financial Intelligence isn't a downstream reporting layer. It's encoded into the Augentic Ontology and active in every decision the platform makes.

This is the role that makes that real. You will define what financial intelligence looks like inside an autonomous supply chain OS, where AI agents don't just surface data. They augment and automate decisions.

Customers buy confidence in decisions. You will build the product that delivers it.

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
