About the role:

We are looking for a Senior Product Manager, Growth to join our team during a pivotal transformation. Reporting directly to the Director of Product Growth, you will be the primary driver for our Atlassian Marketplace products, turning customer data and insights into automated, in-product growth motions.

What you’ll do:

  • Identify Growth Opportunities: Use data-driven insights to identify, prioritize, and size growth opportunities across the user lifecycle, including acquisition, activation, retention, and monetization.

  • Monetization: Highly experienced at delivering cross-sell and monetization experiences to improve monetization and ARR.

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and own the growth roadmap, align growth goals with company objectives, and collaborate across teams to build alignment on priorities and goals.

  • Experimentation: Design, implement, and manage growth experiments (A/B tests, multivariate tests) to validate hypotheses, improve key metrics, and drive impact.

  • Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with core product, engineering, analytics, marketing, and design teams to build, launch, and iterate on growth-focused product features and experiments.

  • Analytics and Reporting: Measure, analyze, and report on the performance of growth initiatives, communicating impact and insights to stakeholders and making data-driven decisions.

  • User Insights: Gather qualitative and quantitative insights from users to identify pain points and opportunities to improve product experiences.

  • Product Optimization: Leverage insights and best practices to improve onboarding flows, in-product marketing, and retention mechanics.

Who you are:

  • Experience: 8+ years of experience in a growth role, preferably within a tech or SaaS company.

  • Growth Mindset: Deep understanding of growth metrics and user funnels, with experience in acquisition, activation, retention, and monetization strategies.

  • Experimentation Skills: Proven records of success in designing and executing experiments with a scientific, data-driven approach.

  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in A/B testing, data analysis, and metrics-driven decision-making.

  • Data Proficiency: Proficient in analytics tools (e.g., Amplitude, Looker, Launch Darkly, Google Analytics) and comfortable with SQL for customer data analysis.

  • Outstanding Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experiences collaborating across functions and presenting to stakeholders.

  • AI Fluency: You are a "power user" of tools like Gemini, ChatGPT, Claude, and V0, using them to accelerate discovery, prototyping, and analysis.

  • User-Centric Approach: Ability to understand user needs and translate them into impactful product experiences.

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field; advanced degree a plus.

Nice to Have:

  • Marketplace Growth: Experience scaling products within the Atlassian Marketplace or similar ecosystems.

  • Zero-to-One Launching: A track record of driving rapid adoption for new products or platforms.

  • Web Ops Strategy: Experience leading web-based product growth and lead-capture optimization.

  • In-app Messaging Tool Experience: Familiarity with in-app messaging tools (e.g., Braze, Appcues)

Why Join Tempo?

  • Impact: Work on meaningful products that empower enterprise users and improve productivity.

  • Innovation: Be part of a culture that values creativity and innovation, with opportunities to make a real impact.

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
