About the role and what you'll be doing: 

  • This role requires a strategic thinker, problem solver, and a creative product manager who is respected, helpful and resourceful.
  • The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience with IBM z/OS, mainframe workloads and operations, AI and Data applications (e.g., watsonx.ai, DB2AI, hybrid data mesh approaches).
  • The ideal candidate will have a deep knowledge of IBM mainframe hardware and software commercialization drivers that determine how service providers define and build solutions for customers. 
  • Lead product launches and existing product enhancements from Beta to GA, working with Clients, Sales & Marketing using market-driven product data and competitive intelligence.
  • Develop product requirement MVPs; working in collaboration with key stakeholders including clients to prioritize and validate technology, features, product strategy and direction.
  • This individual will work closely with Partners, Product Engineering, Operations, Sales, Marketing and Customer Success teams cross functionally to provide thought leadership and will oversee the product process from idea conception to launch.
  • Develop data-driven product positioning, pricing, value propositions, content creation, and messaging that reflects target markets and target personas working with Product Marketing but be decisive to act based on your market expertise. 
  • Strong background in service provider and managed services offer development, consumption billing, commercialization, and pricing.
  • Be a key point of contact for sales and solution architects for modern cloud-connected mainframe solutions and services.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of first-hand experience of mainframe technologies, applications, and operations.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience working for a Managed IT Service, mainframe outsourcer, and/or Hosting Provider.
  • 7+ years’ experience in product management and offer commercialization at a service provider.
  • A bachelor’s degree in business or economics or equivalent experience.
  • Data analytics and integration experience.
  • Ability to translate technical, complex requirements into simple, actionable terms, and to commercialize offers for customer consumption.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environment with flawless execution, working collaboratively with cross-functional, cross-cultural teams.

Other Qualifications

  • Program Management in a business or technical capacity.
  • Strong understanding of IT operations and service management.

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay scale for this role is $112,000 to $163,000 annually based on a full-time schedule. Please note that placement in the range may vary based on numerous factors including but not limited to skills, experience, internal equity, and business needs. In addition to base salary, other compensation programs, depending on eligibility, include an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance and an equity grant under our Associate Equity Appreciation Program.
