About Us:

Homebound is on a mission to make it possible for anyone, anywhere, to build a home using technology. Created by an experienced team of construction, real estate, design, and technology experts, Homebound is transforming the residential construction industry by improving the costly and inefficient process of building a home.

We’ve created an entirely new way to build homes with technology powering every stage from start to finish to provide a seamless experience for our customers. Homeowners across the country can choose where they want to live, select a home plan that’s perfect for them, then personalize and buy it, all online. Homebound has raised $150M in capital from leading venture capitalists like Google, Khosla, Thrive Ventures, and we’re scaling quickly in places like Texas, Colorado and Florida. Come build your future with us.

About the Role

We're excited to bring on a Senior Product Manager to lead the Platform Squad, who are responsible for Homebound's core technology foundation and our internal platform - Blueprint. Blueprint powers every stage of our construction lifecycle - from plan development to design packages, procurement, budgeting, and field execution. As we scale, this platform is evolving into a deeply integrated, AI powered system that connects teams and data across our business.

In this role, you’ll own the roadmap, execution, and success metrics for the Platform Squad. You’ll partner with engineering, design, and operations stakeholders to deliver powerful, intuitive tools that drive efficiency, profitability, and consistency across Homebound’s end-to-end process.

You’ll be both strategic and hands-on - translating business goals into actionable product strategy, leading discovery and design, and ensuring every release delivers measurable impact.

What You’ll Do
  • Own the Platform roadmap and execution: Define the vision, strategy, and priorities for Blueprint and related platform services.

  • Run a high-performing squad: Partner with design and engineering to deliver high-quality releases on time, using agile best practices.

  • Deeply understand users: Collaborate with internal teams across plan development, design, procurement, and construction to understand pain points and translate them into scalable, elegant solutions.

  • Write clear, outcome-driven product briefs that define problems, user stories, success metrics, and go-to-market implications.

  • Acceptance test releases to ensure functionality, quality, and alignment with product intent before launch.

  • Drive continuous feedback loops: Gather insights from users, data, and leadership to refine features and prioritize future investments.

  • Integrate emerging technologies: Partner with engineering and AI teams to identify opportunities to automate workflows and unlock new levels of efficiency.

  • Measure impact: Define KPIs for adoption, cycle time, and margin improvement; use data to evaluate results and drive iteration.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally: Align stakeholders across Product, Operations, Finance, and Engineering to ensure the platform scales with business needs and features that are built are widely adopted across the company.

  • Be a decisive, thoughtful product leader: Balance short-term impact with long-term platform health and maintain a clear perspective on tradeoffs.

What You’ll Bring
  • 5+ years of product management experience, including ownership of a complex product or platform with significant internal users.

  • Strong experience leading agile software teams and managing full product lifecycles - from discovery to delivery.

  • Proven ability to translate ambiguous business challenges into clear product strategies and roadmaps.

  • Strong technical fluency - comfortable collaborating with engineers on APIs, data models, integrations, and architectural tradeoffs.

  • Excellent product sense and judgment - able to balance user needs, operational realities, and business impact.

  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to influence and align cross-functional partners at all levels.

  • Analytical mindset with a track record of using metrics to inform decisions and evaluate success.

  • Experience in or passion for construction, proptech, or complex operational systems is a strong plus.

  • Curiosity, ownership, and a bias toward action - you drive results and make decisions quickly, with confidence and empathy.

Why Homebound?

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
