About Salesforce

We’re Salesforce, the Customer Company, inspiring the future of business with AI+ Data +CRM. Leading with our core values, we help companies across every industry blaze new trails and connect with customers in a whole new way. And, we empower you to be a Trailblazer, too — driving your performance and career growth, charting new paths, and improving the state of the world. If you believe in business as the greatest platform for change and in companies doing well and doing good – you’ve come to the right place.

Slack is seeking an experienced Product Manager to drive our internal data tools strategy and revolutionize how our product teams discover, analyze, and act on data. You'll lead the evolution of our self-serve analytics platform, experimentation infrastructure, and next-generation AI-powered data agents that democratize insights across our organization.
You are a technical product manager who can get into the weeds with engineers and also communicate effectively to execs.  You are committed to deeply understanding the needs of your internal stakeholders – Product, BizOps, Engineering, and more – so that you can define a unified multi-year vision that addresses their pain points and builds a stable foundation for healthy data platforms.  Your ultimate goal is to enable others to quickly get the metrics they need, easily digest what they mean, and be confident that they are accurate.

What You'll Do

  • Own the end-to-end product strategy for our data tools ecosystem, including self-serve analytics, experimentation platforms, and intelligent data agents

  • Design and implement experimentation frameworks that enable teams to run A/B tests, measure impact, and make data-driven decisions at scale

  • Lead the development of AI-powered data agents that help users discover insights, generate reports, and automate routine analysis tasks

  • Partner with ML/AI teams to integrate LLMs and other AI technologies into intuitive, conversational data experiences

  • Define self-serve capabilities that reduce dependency on data teams while maintaining governance and data quality

  • Collaborate with executive leadership to prioritize the data tools roadmap with broader company objectives

  • Establish frameworks for measuring product success and user adoption across complex data workflows

What We're Looking For

  • 5-10 years of product management experience with at least 2+ years in senior roles

  • Deep expertise in experimentation methodologies, statistical analysis, and causal inference

  • Experience building self-serve data products that scale to thousands of users

  • Strong technical background with hands-on experience in SQL, Python, and modern data stack technologies

  • Understanding of AI/ML applications in data tooling, including prompt engineering and agent frameworks

  • Proven track record of launching products that significantly improve user productivity and business outcomes

  • Experience with data governance, privacy, and compliance considerations

  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills with ability to influence C-level executives

Bonus Points

  • Experience with agent frameworks (LangChain, AutoGen, etc.) and conversational AI interfaces

  • Previous work on experimentation platforms (Optimizely, LaunchDarkly, internal tools)

  • Background in data science, ML engineering, or analytics engineering

  • Experience at high-growth SaaS companies with complex data needs

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
