The Commerce, Growth & Identity (CGI) team is dedicated to three business-critical areas at Disney that will help transform its media business. They create seamless user experiences for consumers who can choose from a wide range of subscription plans, enabling more choice and flexibility. The CGI team is also focused on building innovative and cutting-edge capabilities that will drive subscriptions, engagement, and monetization across Disney's streaming and digital products.

As a Senior Product Manager with the Walt Disney Company's Identity Product team, you will participate in efforts to identify and create product features that are delivered as part of the Global Identity product roadmap. This will include creating business investment justifications and driving product requirements for each, as well as creating feature roadmaps prioritize based on overall business value, key launch dates, and engineering effort. The candidate will work closely with engineering teams as "the voice of the business" to deliver world class consumer identity experiences. In addition, the candidate will drive usage and adoption of new features and services with Walt Disney Company business units, including creating and socializing go-to-market plans for integrated products, ensuring our business units and their guests derive the full suite of benefits we envisioned.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for working across the Identity product organization and product portfolio
  • Own the creation and management of product artifacts, such as product briefs, feature epics, and user stories; plus go to market materials such as walking decks, how-to guides and newsletter articles
  • In continuous collaboration with the Identity product team and and stakeholders-including business, legal, brand, security, architecture and engineering-build out annual and quarterly roadmaps, which provide clarity on priorities and outcomes for development teams
  • Define leading indicators and success metrics for their feature area; including plans to assess and review outcomes
  • Define, build out, regularly consult with, and drive evolution of, a body of Identity-related analytics and metrics, that can be relied on to prove out successes and deficiencies in current identity products and features; consistently use these to build cases for roadmap prioritization
  • Contribute to the identity product quality by conducting competitive analysis to ensure Disney identity experiences are modern, intuitive and fully featured, and identify opportunities to delight our customers
  • Own, manage and prioritize feature backlogs for their assigned development teams, including lending product and feature expertise for the refinement of user stories
  • Identify process gaps within immediate working team, suggest improvements and work cross-functionally to assist in implementing improvements


Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of Product Management experience in a related industry or functional area
  • Detail- and data-oriented, with the ability to plan, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to operate effectively in a team-oriented and collaborative environment, with a bias toward continuously aligning key stakeholders (business, legal, brand, security, architecture, engineering) on product plans
  • Ability to learn quickly about multiple functional areas across Disney's far-reaching, global businesses
  • Ability to creatively and collaboratively problem solve in a dynamic business environment, often with conflicting inputs from different stakeholders, with a bias to action and objective focus on achieving business value
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including proven ability to present complex problems clearly and concisely
  • Experience with agile software development and scrum framework


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Product management experience in media industry and/or identity and access management (IAM) features preferred
  • Strongly passionate about the opportunity to work for The Walt Disney Company


Required Education:

  • Bachelor's degree with educational background in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Applied and Computational Math Sciences, Human Computer Interaction, Information Systems or related fields


Preferred Education:

  • Master's/MBA/Technical degrees highly recommended


The hiring range for this position in Seattle, WA and New York, NY is $156,300 to $209,600 per year, in Los Angeles, CA and Bristol, CT is $149,300 to $200,200 per year, in San Francisco, CA is $163,500 to $219,200 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
