About Us:

Here at Tarro we build products that empower small brick and mortar restaurants by liberating them of the operational burden of running their business. We accomplish this by providing a frictionless connection between them and their customers through our multi-product ecosystem offering AI-enabled order taking, delivery enablement, payment solutions, and point-of-sale software. At Tarro, we use a combination of bits (technology) and atoms (people) to solve real world problems facing small business owners.

We obsess over placing our customers first and working backwards from there. When our customers succeed, we succeed. The restaurant industry in the US is over a $1 trillion total addressable market (TAM), but remains relatively underserved by technology. Large chains are able to afford expensive tech that gives them a huge advantage; we believe that small restaurant owners deserve access to the same technologies at an affordable price.

Tarro has been profitable for nearly a decade and has seen 5x revenue growth in the last three years. As of our last fundraising round in mid-2022, we were valued at $450M and have since seen substantial growth across customer acquisition, product development and company headcount. Thousands of loyal restaurants have entrusted Tarro with their success, and together we have supported nearly 20 million customers. We are proud to be named one of Built In’s top companies to work for in 2023.

What we’re looking for:

In our next phase of growth, we are looking for a Product Manager to join our fast-growing product team! You will have the opportunity to work cross-functionally with product, engineering, and other business teams.

We're a fast-moving, high-ownership team that values autonomy, curiosity, and deep problem-solving. If you thrive in intense environments, want to work on meaty, impactful problems, and are hungry to grow rapidly in your career, this is the role for you.

Please note that this role requires on-site work at our Menlo Park office three days a week.

What you’ll accomplish:
  • Lead key initiatives across multiple parts of our product suite - ranging from how we onboard new restaurants, support for new cuisines and types of restaurants, core product quality, and how we process orders, and more

  • Deliver tangible impact directly on core business metrics like customer retention, order volume processed, and order-taking quality

  • Consider how AI and other rapidly advancing technologies can help us solve user problems and drive business outcomes

  • Directly interface with restaurant owners and our users, and build a deep connection with them and an understanding of them and their needs

  • Help shape product direction, ship meaningful work fast, and grow rapidly alongside a high-caliber team

  • Contribute to the growth of the product management function as a whole at Tarro

About you:
  • BA/BS in Computer Science or a similar technical/analytical field

  • Minimum 3 years of product management experience

  • Pace-setter with a strong bias for action and a desire to move fast and drive impact

  • Deeply thoughtful about your products, backed by a mix of quantitative and qualitative insights

  • Excited about owning outcomes, not just the outputs

  • Passion for small business owners and helping them be successful

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Bonus points:
  • Experience designing internal tools and/or tools for operations teams

  • Experience making decisions in high-ambiguity, low-data environments

  • Experience building products from 0 to 1, and not only building the products themselves but the processes around them to ensure they’re utilized effectively

Tarro is committed to hiring the best team to empower small businesses to thrive. We believe that a diverse workforce is paramount to our success. We welcome talent from all backgrounds - including but not limited to - race, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, nationality, religion, veteran status, political affiliation, and disability.

If you do not meet all the requirements listed above, which candidates rarely do, don't worry. We still encourage you to apply!

The salary range for this role is $175,000 - $250,000 USD.

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
