Lead growth strategies for Loom, focusing on user acquisition through collaboration with design, engineering, and marketing teams. Drive experimentation to enhance user engagement and success metrics.

About the teamAt Zillow Home Loans (ZHL), we’re reimagining how buyers understand what they can afford—and ultimately how they finance a home. Our mission is to meet Zillow users earlier in their journey, empower them with personalized affordability insights, and build trusted relationships that guide them through their home buying journey.
The BuyAbility team plays a foundational role in this effort. We’ve built a unique experience that helps buyers estimate what they can afford with minimal friction, then personalize their path based on financial readiness. Our work spans Zillow.com and the Zillow app and connects deeply with shopping, marketing, and loan officer experiences. Together, we’re helping buyers move confidently from dreaming to owning.

About the role

We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager to lead our strategy around how buyers enter, engage with, and return to BuyAbility. In this role, you’ll define and evolve the user journeys that guide home shoppers into our affordability experience—whether they’re just starting to browse, actively searching, or re-engaging after time away. You’ll focus on personalized entry points, contextual nudges, and re-engagement strategies that keep potential buyers progressing toward home buying readiness.

You’ll partner on initiatives that make Zillow’s user experience more personalized and identity-aware, ensuring we’re tailoring messages and product flows based on what we know about a buyer’s journey so far. This role is highly cross-functional, with deep collaboration across Product, Marketing, Design, Data Science, and Engineering.

You Will Get To:

  • Define and optimize how buyers enter BuyAbility based on their goals, readiness, and behavior.

  • Build re-engagement strategies that bring users back when they're ready to progress.

  • Collaborate with Zillow Shopping, Marketing, and AI teams to test CTA placements, messaging, and personalized upsells.

  • Lead funnel experimentation—form hypotheses, run A/B tests, analyze results, and iterate.

  • Partner with Marketing to grow awareness of Zillow Home Loans across surfaces.

  • Work cross-functionally to define requirements, prioritize work, and ship high-impact experiences.

  • Define success metrics to track adoption, engagement, and conversion.

  • Foster a customer-first mentality while balancing long-term vision with rapid iteration.

This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice, which must be identified to the Company. U.S. employees may live in any of the 50 United States, with limited exceptions.

In California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Maryland, Massachusetts, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Washington state, and Washington DC the standard base pay range for this role is $145,500.00 - $232,500.00 Annually. This base pay range is specific to California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Maryland, Massachusetts, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Washington state, and Washington DC and may not be applicable to other locations.

In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location.

Who you are
  • 5+ years of experience in product management, with a strong track record of building and scaling customer-facing technology products in fast-paced, high-ownership environments.

  • Demonstrated success leading end-to-end funnel strategies, including top-of-funnel engagement, conversion optimization, and re-engagement.

  • Exhibits a high degree of initiative and ownership; capable of navigating ambiguity, driving clarity, and executing effectively without significant direction.

  • Experienced in cross-functional collaboration, with a proven ability to align partners across Engineering, Design, Marketing, Data Science, and Legal.

  • Skilled in making data-informed decisions through experimentation, behavioral analytics, and user insights.

  • Proficient in writing product requirements, leading agile delivery teams, and iterating quickly to deliver business impact.

  • Familiarity with AI/machine learning systems, such as recommendation engines, targeting algorithms, or predictive modeling.

  • Understanding of lifecycle marketing strategies and how personalized messaging across channels influences customer engagement and retention.

  • Strong communication and partner management skills, with a consistent ability to gain alignment and influence across technical and business teams.

  • Demonstrated excellence in written communication, with a track record of producing clear, structured, and persuasive documents that drive alignment and decision-making across partners.

  • Highly curious and growth-minded, with a continuous drive to deepen product understanding and accelerate learning.

  • Ability to quickly ramp in complex domains such as mortgage, fintech, or real estate.

  • Here at Zillow, we value the experience and perspective of candidates with non-traditional backgrounds. We encourage you to apply if you have transferable skills or related experiences.
