We're looking for an experienced Senior Product Manager to help us accomplish our mission of improving lives by learning from the experience of every cancer patient. Here's what you need to know about the role, our team, and why you'll love making Flatiron Health the next step in your career.
What You'll Do
In this role, you'll own part of Flatiron's suite of real-world datasets and the internal platform and tools used to generate them. You'll develop the strategy, roadmaps, and be responsible for the overall success of the products and partnerships. In particular, you will:
  • Drive cross-functional alignment by partnering with product development and business teams to ensure seamless delivery of platform capabilities that support both internal and external users.
  • Recognize ambiguous or undefined problems as opportunities; be intellectually curious and hungry to learn about new areas
  • Translate strategy into action, breaking down high-level business objectives into actionable product requirements, user stories, and success metrics.
  • Be the voice of the user/customer, gathering feedback from internal stakeholders (e.g., data scientists, client solutions, engineering) and external clients to inform product decisions and ensure Horizon meets real-world needs.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, facilitate trade-off discussions, drive alignment, and ensure transparency across teams working on upstream RWE initiatives.
  • Identify and deliver on opportunities to automate, streamline, and scale our scoping and delivery processes, leveraging ML and advanced tooling where appropriate.
  • Measure and communicate impact: track key metrics (e.g., data delivery efficiency, platform adoption, cost savings, revenue) and communicate progress to leadership and stakeholders.

This is a great opportunity to take on a role in our cutting-edge scientific work, and to collaborate with industry leading experts in a number of fields.
Who You Are
You're a Product Manager with at least 6 years of experience in a software, SaaS, or healthcare technology environment. You have been leading complex projects end-to-end in a product, research, or data-oriented discipline. You're a builder who can trailblaze new paths, but also a collaborative problem-solver who seeks and gives candid feedback. You value the chance to make an important impact on a disease that affects more than 2 million people a year.
  • You're a builder whose up to date on the latest trends in technology and can experiment independently to identify new opportunities to make your products successful
  • You have a strong understanding of AI, and opinions about what it's good for (and what it's not)
  • You're comfortable in ambiguity, with an ability to tackle vague technical challenges first and bring clarity back to your team and stakeholders
  • You have excellent client facing and internal communication skills, detail orientation, and ability to execute
  • You have experience with biopharma, patient-level data, real-world data, or oncology
  • You have a strong understanding of software projects' development, roll-out, and support risks
  • You have strong technical aptitude and an ability to understand technical designs, challenges, and risks
  • You have strong project management skills and excellent organizational and communication skills
  • You have BA/BS degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience

You're also excited by the prospect of rolling up your sleeves and using technology to tackle meaningful problems each and every day. You're a kind, passionate and collaborative problem-solver who seeks and gives honest feedback and values the chance to improve the lives of cancer patients.

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
