Our Internal Data team powers decisions and applications across MongoDB, supporting teams in Go-to-Market (GTM), Product and Technology, Finance, and HR. For this role, we are focused on building scalable and impactful data-as-a-product solutions for Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success. These products help teams make smarter decisions, automate workflows, enable AI-driven applications, and uncover insights that accelerate growth.

As a Senior Data Product Manager, you will work closely with our Data Pipeline, Platform Engineering, Data Architecture, and Data Governance teams to build and scale the internal data products MongoDB teams rely on every day. These products include data pipelines, datasets, dashboards, APIs, ML models, and frameworks that power analytics, AI, and business decision-making across the company.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-growing environments, understands the operational needs of GTM teams, and has experience building modern data platforms and products.

Responsibilities
  • Define and drive the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for internal data products that support GTM teams
  • Partner closely with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to identify opportunities where data can improve decision-making and operational efficiency
  • Work with engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable data products such as datasets, pipelines, dashboards, and APIs

  • Drive delivery through agile processes including backlog prioritization, sprint planning, and cross-functional coordination
  • Promote adoption of new data products through clear documentation, enablement, and stakeholder engagement
Requirements
  • 5+ years of product management experience, including experience building or managing data products or data platforms
  • Experience partnering with GTM organizations such as Sales, Marketing, or Customer Success
  • Strong understanding of modern data ecosystems, including data pipelines, analytics platforms, and scalable data architecture
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear product strategies and user-focused solutions
  • Strong prioritization and execution skills in fast-paced, cross-functional environments
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Nice to Have
    • Experience working with modern data platforms such as lakehouse or medallion-style architectures
    • Background in analytics, data science, or data engineering
Experience driving adoption of internal data products through enablement, documentation, and training
    • Familiarity with metadata management or data discoverability tools

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
