Job Summary:

The Senior Product Manager role will be responsible for specific product portfolio activities related to our Nuvei Integrated Platforms. As a Senior Product Manager, you will play the lead role in liaising with the development team, initiating and translating requests into workable user stories, managing assigned roadmap/backlog, and creating new features from definition all the way through general market strategy and commercialization. This role will be heavily cross-functional and will be the “quarterback” for specific activity related to new product creation and enhancements. Additionally, this person will work with department leads and key stakeholders to identify strategy and supporting use cases, relevant KPIs and business requirements for successful product development and prioritization. This person will also be able to competently interface with, and lead engineering and development teams through project scoping and ensure timely delivery.  The ideal candidate is highly motivated, a self-starter, and has drive to identify, develop, and improve process workflow with the idea of betterment for the business and customer.

Responsibilities:

·       Create and manage product strategies, roadmaps, project plans, and product specifications.

·       Collaborate with sales, marketing, operations, and engineering on product development during the discovery phase through implementation.

·       Solicit feedback from external customers through QBR participation or sales calls to understand and anticipate their needs and translate them into product requirements.

·       Own the feature set and act as the product evangelist to build awareness.

·       Analyze market trends and performance drivers to identify new opportunities.

·       Prioritize and create detailed product specifications to be used in business rules, flows and use cases to meet internal and external user needs.

·       Plan and prioritize work that will be done within a sprint, release, quarter and/or year to achieve the greatest strategic impact on the business, optimally balancing and integrating short-term requirements with long-term strategic needs (e.g., sales and ROI).

·       Develop realistic, detailed plans (e.g., action steps, timelines) that fully consider contingencies, constraints, and process needs to accomplish objectives.

·       Regularly report on the status of multiple initiatives to stakeholders and actively work to identify and remove potential roadblocks.

·       Ensure successful product rollouts by working cross-functionally with business development, sales, marketing, operations, risk, and engineering.

·       Ensure that roadmap and prioritization processes are well communicated and understood across the organization.

·       Take immediate, decisive, and when necessary, independent action to resolve issues or problems in a timely manner.

·       Support the QA process by identifying key use cases and defining priority of any identified issues.

·       Manage the development of training materials for new product features, documenting existing capabilities, and acting as Tier 3/troubleshooting support as needed.

Qualifications and Requirements:

·       4+ years of product management experience and 12+ years of pertinent payments industry experience.

· Knowledge of payments industry, either directly or closely related to work at a Software Provider and/or Merchant preferred.

·       Virtual terminal, transactional APIs, tokenization/vault understanding, reporting, and transaction reconciliation knowledge is a plus.

·       Understanding of NACHA regulations and ACH transaction processing preferred.

·       Aptitude for business, critical thinking and ability to probe deeply into issues, looking past symptoms to determine root cause and solutions.

·       Ability to easily engage and establish rapport with business professionals (development, clients, and software partners) and fully utilize/apply the best available knowledge, information, and expertise (e.g., of self or others) in decision-making.

·       Ability to define and translate a vision into detailed and actionable plans.

·       Strong knowledge of Agile principles, processes, and tools (Jira, Azure DevOps).

·       Outstanding verbal, written, and presentation skills, as well as the ability to persuade, inspire, and motivate others.

·       Constructively and resourcefully adapts to changing needs, conditions, priorities, or opportunities (e.g., ability to develop novel solutions for handling challenges).

·       A proven track record of success in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple competing and sometimes conflicting priorities.

·       Passion for great user experience, including the experience of internal operations and partners.

·       Ability and drive to work independently and as a team contributor.   

·       Must be a self-motivated, goal-oriented individual with excellent organizational skills.

·       Strong quantitative and analytical skills with willingness to dive deep and interpret complex data (Excel, BI tools, etc).

·       Exceptional at communicating with senior management as well as with colleagues from technical and non-technical backgrounds.

·       Proficient with use of Outlook, Microsoft Teams, MS Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint etc.), Azure DevOps, Aha! Preferred.

·       Experience utilizing AI based tools to assist with daily tasks preferred.

Education Requirements

·       Bachelor’s degree in business, IT/technology, or other related field, or equivalent work experience (5-10+ years).

·       Agile certification preferred.
