Qualys is seeking an experienced product marketing manager to support our rapidly growing US Public Sector business for cyber risk management and compliance.
 

In this role, you will be responsible for product marketing for the US Public Sector vertical for the entire Qualys portfolio, targeting the needs of the US Public Sector organizations, including the Federal agencies. You will work closely with product management stakeholders to provide input to the product roadmap based on customer needs. You will collaborate with the Public Sector sales team as well as the marketing teams to develop and execute go-to-market plans, and content in support of this. You will implement formal product launch plans and deliverables, research market trends, develop messaging per buyer personas, build supporting product demos, develop product collateral and sales tools, and present the products to prospects and customers.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Own the messaging and content deliverables in support of our public sector and Federal business.
  • Build the go-to-market strategy and execution plans in partnership with the sales and marketing teams responsible for this vertical.
  • Be the expert on our buyers and their critical buying criteria, to build product collateral that resonates with our target buyer personas.
  • Identify product roadmap needs, and coordinate with product management and engineering to get these built and delivered. 
  • Gather market intelligence, connect technology trends to Qualys products, and develop positioning and messages for critical current and future use cases.
  • Create customer and sales collateral, as well as thought leadership content that includes presentations, white papers, webinars, emails, etc.

What We Need From You

  • Perferred location in the greater DC area and the ability to go into our DC office 1-3 days a week.
  • 10+ years of experience in product management, marketing, or sales.
  • 3+ years of experience in the cybersecurity industry perferred.
  • 3+ years of experience working with cyber security solutions in support of the Public Sector or Federal market.
  • Proven development of external-facing and enablement collateral.  
  • Exhibitable sales or marketing experience.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Passionate about trying out new ideas to promote the product, testing hypotheses, and making data-driven decisions to course correct.
  • Proven ability to effectively articulate and showcase technology for different use-cases, and to different types of audiences within the federal space.  
  • Self-starter with excellent project management skills who truly enjoys working in a fast-paced, innovative software company.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English.

The salary range for this position is $145,000 - $170,000 per year. Final compensation will be determined based on several factors, including but not limited to skills, relevant experience, and work location. Please note this range reflects base salary and does not include incentive compensation or potential equity grants. We also offer a comprehensive and highly competitive benefits package.
