Job Summary

As a Senior Product Designer at Socure, you will play a critical role in shaping the user experience and visual design of our products. You will collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver intuitive, scalable, and impactful solutions. This is a high-impact role where you will lead design initiatives, mentor junior designers, and help define the future of digital identity verification.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end design processes for new and existing products, from discovery and research through prototyping, user testing, and final delivery.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Engineering, Data Science, and Customer Success) to define product requirements and translate them into elegant, user-centered solutions.

  • Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights and validate design decisions.

  • Create wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity visual designs that communicate design intent and interaction.

  • Advocate for design best practices, accessibility, and a consistent design system across all products.

  • Present design rationale and solutions to stakeholders, incorporating feedback and iterating as needed.

  • Mentor and support junior designers, fostering a culture of learning, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

  • Stay current with industry trends, tools, and technologies to ensure Socure’s products remain innovative and competitive.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 5+ years of professional experience in product design, UX/UI, or a related discipline, preferably in SaaS, fintech, or enterprise software.

  • Proven track record of leading large-scale, high-impact design initiatives that influenced company strategy.

  • Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in user experience, interaction design, and visual design.

  • Proficiency with modern design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite) and prototyping tools.

  • Experience conducting user research, usability testing, and translating findings into actionable design improvements.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate design decisions to stakeholders.

  • Experience working in agile, cross-functional teams and collaborating with engineers and product managers.

  • Ability to balance user needs, business goals, and technical constraints in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience mentoring or coaching other designers is a plus.

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
