About the teamThe Marketing Technology and Operations team is working to enable marketing and product teams with technology, data, and optimized operations, so they can deliver on Zillow’s mission and “to make home a reality for more people.” Our vision is to make behind-the-scenes complexity look simple and bring efficient solutions to marketers’ fingertips while prioritizing a coordinated customer experience, scalable operational infrastructure, and significant business impact.
Within this team, the Marketing Program Management Office (PMO) is evolving from a centralized process gatekeeper into a strategic orchestrator — empowered by AI, data, and automation — to drive speed, adaptability, and efficiency across the marketing organization. We are shifting from governance to enablement, from static plans to dynamic data-driven prioritization, and from manual status reports to real-time, AI-powered visibility.

About the role

As a Senior Program Manager in the Marketing PMO, you will own and evolve how marketing work enters, gets prioritized, and flows through our organization. You will be the steward of our central project intake — our “Always On” operating model — but this is far more than a facilitation role. We are looking for someone who will drive the thinking forward on how our processes should work, and who sees AI not as an add-on but as the default lens for reimagining them.

This person will be instrumental as we rethink our entire workflow to adopt and leverage AI. You will lead the change management that brings cross-functional partners along on that journey. If your dream job is one where you get to influence cross-functional partners, drive clarity through excellent communication, make decisive prioritization calls amid ambiguity, and build the AI-enabled operating model for a complex marketing organization — we want to talk to you.

You will:
  • Own and continuously evolve the PMO’s central project intake processes, managing numerous incoming workflows from business and marketing teams and ensuring each is routed and scoped with clarity.

  • Drive prioritization and trade-off discussions across competing initiatives, balancing senior leadership vision with working-level constraints and execution-team capacity.

  • Identify and implement AI-driven solutions across the work the PMO touches — brief writing and review, project roadmapping, prioritization, status tracking, and hand-offs.

  • Lead change management and communications as the marketing organization adopts new AI-enabled processes, tools, and ways of working — driving adoption, not just rollout.

  • Anticipate cross-functional dependencies and provide clear status of initiatives from working groups up to senior leadership, ensuring on-time, on-scope delivery.

  • Establish and track program KPIs, milestones, and success metrics, including two-sided SLAs between strategy and execution teams, with clear and actionable reporting to leadership.

  • Contribute to the Project Management Center of Excellence and lead retrospectives — building the playbooks, best practices, and improvements that keep our “Always On” model connected to annual planning and increase overall marketing efficiency.

This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice, which must be identified to the Company. In California, Connecticut, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Washington state, and Washington DC the standard base pay range for this role is $109,000.00 - $174,000.00 annually. This base pay range is specific to these locations and may not be applicable to other locations. In Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Minnesota, Nevada, Ohio, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Virginia the standard base pay range for this role is $103,500.00 - $165,300.00 annually. The base pay range is specific to these locations and may not be applicable to other locations.

In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location. Employees in this role will not be paid below the salary threshold for exempt employees in the state where they reside.

Who you are
  • 7+ years of Program and Project Management experience, including a background in program management within a marketing organization and a track record delivering for large, cross-functional teams.

  • A holistic, ownership-minded thinker who takes an idea or process and iterates and evolves it over time rather than simply maintaining it.

  • Decisive yet nuanced in prioritization and trade-off calls, comfortable making and defending decisions amid ambiguity.

  • Demonstrates AI-first thinking, with demonstrable success adopting AI-driven solutions to automate or streamline processes and workflows.

  • Thrives in a fast-paced, highly-matrixed environment, bringing structure to ambiguous problems in a complex organization.

  • An excellent communicator and facilitator who synthesizes complex information into clear narratives, with proven strength in organizational change management.

  • Expert proficiency with project management, workflow, and collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, G Suite).
