At Code and Theory, our Talent Acquisition team is a strategic, resourceful collective of recruiters dedicated to finding the right person for each role. We are not salespeople, but thoughtful matchmakers translating hiring manager needs into actionable job specs, and surfacing the ideal candidates. We partner with hiring managers and teams to understand their projects and business needs, and hire accordingly. 

We are looking for a Senior Recruiter to join our team. You'll report to the Director of Talent Acquisition and you'll bring strong Technology and Engineering hiring experience, a solid existing network, and experience successfully filling difficult to hire positions. 

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment for technical and engineering roles, from intake and sourcing through offer negotiation and close
  • Partner with hiring managers to define candidate profiles, hiring strategy, and interview processes aligned to business needs
  • Build and maintain strong pipelines across engineering, AI/ML, DevOps, QA, cloud, mobile, and emerging technology domains
  • Source and engage high-caliber technical talent through direct outreach, networking, referrals, and creative sourcing strategies
  • Deliver a high-touch candidate experience while guiding interview teams through efficient and well-calibrated hiring decisions
  • Maintain accurate pipeline data in Greenhouse and contribute to recruiting process improvements and operational excellence
  • Bring market insights, talent intelligence, and competitive hiring knowledge into recruiting conversations and hiring strategy

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • Significant experience recruiting technical talent in fast-paced agency, startup, product, or consulting environments
  • Experience hiring across software engineering, AI/ML, DevOps, cloud, QA, mobile, and related technology disciplines
  • Strong sourcing, market mapping, and candidate engagement skills, particularly for difficult-to-fill technical roles
  • Proven success closing senior and leadership-level technical hires
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple searches and shifting priorities simultaneously
  • Collaborative, proactive, and solution-oriented mindset
  • Experience with Greenhouse or similar ATS platforms
  • Passion for building inclusive teams and equitable hiring processes
  • Ability to work East Coast hours
  • Comfort leveraging AI-enabled sourcing, research, and recruiting workflows to improve efficiency and candidate engagement

The base compensation range for this role is $85,000 – $120,000 and spans multiple levels. We're open to hiring at the level that best matches the right candidate's experience. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, budget, and location.
