As a Senior Revenue Accountant at Slice, you'll manage end-to-end revenue processes, perform reconciliations, ensure reporting accuracy, and develop internal controls while collaborating with various teams.
The summary above was generated by AI

Ilir Sela started Slice with the belief that local pizzerias deserve all of the advantages of major franchises without compromising their independence. Starting with his family’s pizzerias, we now empower over tens of thousands of restaurants with the technology, services, and collective power that owners need to better serve their digitally minded customers and build lasting businesses. We’re growing and adding more talent to help fulfil this valuable mission. That’s where you come in.

The Challenge to Solve

As a Senior Revenue Accountant at Slice, you’ll support the end-to-end revenue accounting processes, from billing activity and cash applications through to monthly close, reconciliations, and reporting. This is a hands-on accounting role that blends detailed execution with opportunities to enhance how revenue and AR data flow through systems. You’ll own key close activities, perform revenue analyses and reconciliations, and help ensure the accuracy and completeness of reported results. You will report directly to the Manager of Revenue Accounting.

The Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end billing, invoicing, and cash application processes for Slice’s physical goods (‘Supplies’) revenue streams.
  • Support the monthly revenue close process, including journal entry preparation, account reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, and variance analysis.
  • Work closely with teams across Operations, Finance, and Systems to ensure revenue activity is recorded accurately, issues are resolved promptly, and insights are shared across the business.
  • Support internal and external reporting requirements, including GAAP revenue schedules, management reporting, and external audit requests.
  • Assist in developing and documenting internal controls and accounting policies.
  • Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities, particularly as we migrate to NetSuite and scale our AR operations.

The Winning Recipe

We’re looking for a skilled Revenue Accountant who takes pride in getting the details right, solving problems, and helping build processes that scale. You’re comfortable working in evolving systems and enjoy connecting accounting data to the bigger business picture.

These are the core competencies this role calls for:

  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Accounting or Finance
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP and revenue recognition (ASC 606)
  • Hands-on experience with the order-to-cash cycle (O2C), including invoicing, reconciliations, and month-end close
  • Advanced Excel skills (index, pivot tables, lookups, large datasets)
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
  • Proven ability to reconcile system data to the general ledger and maintain subledger integrity

Nice-to-Haves:

  • CPA or equivalent certification
  • Experience with NetSuite and/or Salesforce
  • Experience with automation/analytics tools such as Alteryx Designer and/or SQL

The Extras

Working at Slice comes with a comprehensive set of benefits, but here are some of the unexpected highlights:

  • Flexible PTO
  • Market leading medical, vision and dental insurance
  • 401K matching up to 4%
  • Wellness reimbursement/stipend
  • Weekly pizza stipend (Yes, that’s a thing!)

Salary Range: $80,000 - $120,000

The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we'll consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors.

The Hiring Process

You’ll find a summary of the expected interview process below. We’ll stick to this as closely as possible, but please note this may be subject to change. This entire process is expected to take 2-4 weeks to complete and you’d be expected to start on a specific date.

  • Application
  • 30 minute introductory meeting with Recruiter
  • 45 minute meeting with Revenue Accounting Manager
  • 45 minute meeting  with Director of Revenue Accounting & Financial Systems
  • 30 minute meeting  with Director of Corporate Accounting

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
