Job Description SummaryThe Senior Sales Director is a customer-facing role focused supporting and growing GE Aerospace’s partnership with airlines in Latin America. This role requires deep expertise on new engines, services, and materials contract structures, as well as strong negotiation skills to secure and restructure commercial agreements. The Senior Sales Director will lead all engagements at the assigned account, facilitate connections between GE Aerospace, CFM, and customer leadership, and oversee the Customer Team to ensure exceptional service delivery. The Senior Sales Director will have autonomy to execute commercial arrangements and must exercise high levels of commercial judgment to achieve desired outcomes.Job Description#LI-Remote - This is a remote position
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Customer Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships across assigned airlines, including facilitating connections between GE Aerospace, CFM, and customer leadership at all organizational levels.
- Account Leadership: Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, leading the Customer Team in delivering exceptional service and ensuring alignment with customers’ needs and expectations.
- Sales Execution: Drive sales of new engines, spare engines, services, and materials ensuring alignment with GE Aerospace’s growth strategy and customer requirements.
- Contract Management: Lead both new deal negotiations and contract restructures, leveraging deep expertise in contract structures to secure agreements that drive mutual value.
- Commercial Expertise: Apply specialized knowledge of external services strategy, materials processes, and market dynamics to inform decision-making and optimize sales opportunities.
- Problem Solving: Address complex challenges by recommending best practices and leading cross-functional teams to develop creative solutions that meet customers’ needs.
- Leadership: Lead functional teams or projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity. Communicate complex messages and influence peers, customer stakeholders, and external partners to take action.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma/GED with at least 10 years of relevant experience in sales).
- Proven experience in customer-facing roles, preferably within the GE Aerospace or the MRO industry.
- Strong understanding of materials processes and their application in MRO operations.
- Demonstrated success in external negotiations, including contract negotiation, execution, and restructuring.
Desired Characteristics:
- Master’s degree.
- In-depth knowledge of external services strategy and contract structures within the aerospace sector.
- Specialized knowledge across GE and CFM product lines, markets, sales processes, or customer groups; strong commercial awareness.
- Strong oral and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and credibility across all levels of the customer organization.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems, particularly in complex customer environments.
- Strong leadership skills; demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage customer accounts.
- Established project management skills, with a track record of delivering results in high-pressure situations.
- Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs tailored to customer needs.
