Overview:
The Technical Pre-Sales Engineer is a tech-savvy professional focused on technical presales support of Precisely software products. This individual will work in the field to help sales teams with new customer opportunities, translate customer technical requirements to a Precisely solution, drive the technical discussions, deliver custom demonstrations, and implement technical proofs-of-concept.
This individual will be comfortable working in a result driven, highly motivated sales team and has great time management and organization skills. There will be significant opportunity to influence product design and positioning, with an ideal candidate being a thoughtful and persuasive contributor.
What you will do:
- Participate in all aspects of the sales process to ultimately interpret and address client requirements with an innovative and collaborative mindset. Perform technical and business value discovery with customers from all verticals (primarily financial service institutions) to identify pain points and possible solutions.
- Present the value of the Precisely solution to clients in various stages of the sales cycle in the form of custom demos, workshops, proof of concepts/value, pilot projects, assisted trials, etc.
- Work across a modern tech stack in environments like Databricks, Snowflake, AWS, Azure, and GCP to build custom Precisely solutions – while leveraging Precisely offerings (APIs, SDKs, MCPs, and Agents, etc.)
- Deliver end-to-end solutions that extend beyond individual products, acting as trusted advisors on cloud modernization and AI-driven initiatives. We support strategic transformation programs by applying industry best practices and real-world use cases helping customers build modern, scalable data strategies.
- Be a Precisely brand ambassador at trade shows, conferences, and other marketing events. Every SE typically represents Precisely 3-4 times at industry events.
What we are looking for:
- Bachelors in computer science, Information Technology or other relevant Engineering/technical branch of academics.
- 2+ years of experience in any of the following functions: presales or product management or professional services or engineering or technical support or technical account management.
- 2+ years of experience developing solutions using Scala, Python, JAVA, Spark frameworks in environments like Databricks.
- Proven relationship management experience, with the ability to communicate with, present to, and influence both technical and operational stakeholders which includes the C-Suite.
- Demonstrable experience with Generative AI and MCP Servers.
- Hands-on experience with Cloud Environments and Cloud Native Infrastructure for example – AWS & EKS.
- Demonstrable experience with SAAS architecture and Cloud Computing
- Travel is required: Yes – Approximately 30%.
- Experience with Data Enrichment, Location Intelligence, Data Quality, Data Governance, Data Integration, and / or MDM solutions would be a plus
