We're looking for exceptional talent to help us achieve our mission of making financial advice better, more affordable, and accessible to all. If you're passionate about challenging the status quo and want to do the most important work of your life, we'd love to meet you!

But first, our values

Grit - When challenges arise, we stay laser focused on achieving our mission and finding a way forward, even when it’s hard. We are nimble and maintain a sense of urgency, swiftly adapting to change and overcoming obstacles.

The opportunity

Altruist is seeking a Senior Sales Executive for our Enterprise team to own and navigate qualified opportunities from discovery through successful onboarding. This role requires a seller who can deeply understand prospect priorities, articulate our platform's value, and build compelling business cases that drive action through a kind, confident, and  consultative approach. You will lead the account strategy, identify the real champions and skeptics, and align internal teams to move complex deals forward with credibility and a sense of urgency. In this capacity, you will own high-level deal strategy, account plans, executive relationships, negotiation, and the process discipline necessary to repeatedly close Enterprise accounts.

Your impact

  • Own a portfolio of large, complex enterprise opportunities and lead them from discovery through onboarding.
  • Act as the leader for your deals, coordinating closely with Business Development, Solutions Engineering, Relationship Management, Product, Operations, Trading, Marketing, and Support.
  • Build and maintain detailed account plans, deal notes, internal next steps, and external action plans that keep complex opportunities organized and moving.
  • Lead multi-threaded deal strategy across executive, operational, and advisor stakeholders, identifying who is truly driving the deal, who still needs to buy in, and where hidden resistance may exist.
  • Run thoughtful business-case and solution-alignment conversations that connect Altruist’s platform, pricing, service model, and roadmap to the prospect’s real operating and growth priorities.
  • Maintain calm, credible communication with prospects when there are product gaps, commercial complexities, or implementation questions, while pulling in internal partners to define pragmatic paths forward.
  • Partner with internal teams on commercial structuring, pricing discussions, and proposal development for strategic firms where standard motions are not sufficient.
  • Help improve the Enterprise operating system by regularly iterating on playbooks, sales process, account-plan quality, and deal communication across the organization.
  • Maintain strong Salesforce hygiene, stage management, and deal inspection rigor so the team can forecast accurately and improve stage velocity, close rate, and opportunity quality over time.
  • Travel as needed for onsite visits, executive meetings, strategic presentations, and critical late-stage deal moments.

What you bring

  • 10+ years of enterprise sales, strategic account management, or complex client-facing experience in wealth management, fintech, custody, or adjacent financial services.
  • Strong grasp of the RIA ecosystem, including advisor business models, custody dynamics, operational workflows, and the realities of selling into large, multi-stakeholder firms.
  • Proven ability to move complex opportunities through solution alignment, business case, onsite diligence, and commit stages toward a signed proposal.
  • Excellent judgment in stakeholder mapping. You know how to identify champions, surface skeptics, assess political reality inside a prospect, and avoid false-positive deal momentum.
  • Strong commercial instincts and comfort with pricing, packaging, and proposal nuance, especially when enterprise firms need tailored economics or phased solutions.
  • High emotional intelligence and strong executive presence. You can push a deal forward without becoming pushy, and you know how to balance confidence with honesty when the answer is not yet fully defined.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership without relying on formal authority. You can keep internal partners aligned, informed, and focused on what matters most to win the deal the right way.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with disciplined follow-through on notes, next steps, and internal/external expectations.
  • Comfort working inside a collaborative structure where success depends on communication, role clarity, and shared ownership rather than isolated heroics.
  • SIE, Series 7, and Series 63 licenses, or the ability to obtain them within 90 days of employment.

What we bring

Attracting and retaining top-tier talent is a priority. We are proud of the culture we’ve built and are cognizant of the ever-changing professional landscape. Our dynamic offering of perks and benefits are tailored for you to feel your best while doing your best.

  • Stunning, amenity-filled office spaces in Culver City, CA, San Francisco, CA, and Dallas, TX. Our offices are intentionally designed for comfort, collaboration, and productivity.
  • Competitive pay and equity for eligible positions.
  • Premium healthcare, dental, and vision insurance plans (HMO and PPO).
  • 401k savings plan with a 4% match and immediate vesting.
  • 16 week paid parental leave after one year of employment.
  • Professional growth and development opportunities including an employee mobility program and an annual L&D budget allocation for each employee.
  • Company perks program (includes discounts on pet insurance, fitness, cell phone plans, and travel, etc.).
  • Financial guidance program (includes counseling on navigating debt, tracking personal spend, saving and planning goals, home-purchasing preparedness, etc.).
  • One month work from anywhere policy (with the exception of a few countries).

Total compensation includes a competitive benefits package, along with equity in the form of Stock Options (ISOs) for eligible roles. For salaried positions, a salary offer will be determined by a number of factors including experience, skill level, internal pay equity, geographic location, and other relevant business considerations. We review all employee pay and compensation programs regularly to ensure fair, equitable, and competitive pay. At Altruist, we are committed to providing fair, equitable, and competitive compensation by leveraging market data to inform our pay bands. Base salaries will be reviewed at regular intervals throughout the year, typically in conjunction with performance review cycles. By evaluating compensation on a regular basis, we are able to reward high performance and ensure all employees have opportunities for growth.

Don’t meet every single requirement? Studies have shown that women and people of color are less likely to apply to jobs unless they meet every single qualification. At Altruist we are dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive, and authentic workplace, so if you’re excited about this role, but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with every qualification in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyways. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
