The Role

Are you a strategic, results-driven sales professional with a passion for solving complex customer challenges? We’re looking for a Senior Sales Representative to lead high-impact sales initiatives, drive growth, and build lasting client relationships within the water industry.

In this role, you’ll go beyond traditional sales, you’ll act as a trusted advisor to clients, collaborate cross-functionally, and help shape the future of our solutions and market approach.

What You’ll Do:

Drive Growth & Win New Business

  • Identify, pursue, and close high-value sales opportunities
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to exceed targets
  • Conduct advanced, consultative sales presentations
  • Analyze market trends and uncover new opportunities

Strengthen Client Relationships

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of key accounts
  • Deliver exceptional customer experience and support
  • Upsell and cross-sell solutions aligned to client needs
  • Resolve client challenges with a proactive, solutions-oriented approach

Be a Product & Industry Expert

  • Stay current on industry trends, regulations, and innovations
  • Educate clients on products, services, and new offerings
  • Support marketing initiatives, campaigns, and trade shows
  • Provide insights to influence product development and strategy

Lead & Collaborate

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver customer solutions
  • Mentor and support junior sales team members
  • Contribute to a high-performance, collaborative team culture

Own the Details

  • Maintain accurate CRM records and sales forecasts
  • Track performance metrics, expenses, and budgets
  • Support invoicing, reporting, and sales operations as needed

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 4+ years of progressive sales experience, ideally in the water industry or a technical B2B environment
  • Proven ability to develop and execute successful sales strategies
  • Strong experience with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce)
  • Experience in conducting market research and competitive analysis.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

The estimated salary range for this position is $100k to $130k base plus commission. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range.  At Xylem we offer a competitive compensation package with a generous benefit package, including Medical, Dental, Vision plans, 401(k) with company contribution, paid time off, paid parental leave and tuition reimbursement.
