The Senior Software Developer will be joining the computing team that will be working in Boeing Information Digital Technology & Security (IDT&S) Product Design-Engineering organization on development, maintenance and integration of software applications and systems tools supporting the Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) and Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) Engineering organizations located in Everett, WA. The software applications and systems tools are developed and run deployed on various operating systems including but not limited to Unix, Linux and Windows on premises and on internal and external cloud.
The primary responsibility of this position is to develop software for Analysis and Simulation teams for Enterprise Mechanical Structures Engineering and Payloads portfolio of applications that support core engineering design applications for airplane design and development. You will be part of a team of software developers/engineers and will collaborate as part of a SAFe Agile team. In addition, this role requires continuous interaction with the business team members.

- Work with Technical Lead/Architect, Peer Developers and Business Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to design and develop systems and applications to meet highly complex business needs
- Work with Product Owners/Pod Leads to understand business needs
- Work with SME/Business focals to define application requirements
- Design, code, test, implement, deploy, document and maintain/sustain software applications
- Application development in multiple different programming languages like Python, Django, C#/C-Sharp, .NET, Java, C, and C++
- Work in Web/HTML technologies (JavaScript, jQuery, REACT, Angular, HTML5, REST, microservices)
- Employ CI/CD DevSecOps processes with ADO and/or Gitlab and deploy applications on-premises and on cloud environments like AWS, Azure, Tanzu cloud, OpenShift etc.
- Engage in Pair Programming, Conduct peer reviews
- Work as part of Agile teams using Scaled Agile Framework
- Utilize your strong computing skills and excellent communication skills
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- 10+ years of experience with application development in one or more programming languages such as C#/C-Sharp, .NET, C, C++, Java, Python, R, SQL, Pro*C/C++, Perl, Shell Scripting, and Web/HTML technologies (JavaScript, jQuery, HTML5, web services, REST, microservices etc.)
- 10+ years of experience in working with agile teams and agile software development
- 10+ years of experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
- 8+ years of experience in a dedicated Software Developer role
- 6+ years of experience with DevOps practices
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work or military experience
- 10+ years of experience in a dedicated Software Developer role
- 10+ years of experience with database design, development of queries in Oracle/SQL Server/MySQL
- 10+ years of experience in Application development in one or more programming languages such as C#/C-Sharp, .NET, C, C++, Java, Python, R, SQL, Pro*C/C++, Perl, Shell Scripting, and Web/HTML technologies (JavaScript, jQuery, HTML5, web services, REST, microservices etc.), Config Management tools like Azure DevOps(ADO)/TFS GitLab, GitHub and others
- Experience with Artificial Intelligence (AI) software development
