About Salesforce

Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM, where humans with agents drive customer success together. Here, ambition meets action. Tech meets trust. And innovation isn’t a buzzword — it’s a way of life. The world of work as we know it is changing and we're looking for Trailblazers who are passionate about bettering business and the world through AI, driving innovation, and keeping Salesforce's core values at the heart of it all.

Ready to level-up your career at the company leading workforce transformation in the agentic era? You’re in the right place! Agentforce is the future of AI, and you are the future of Salesforce.

Overview of the Role

Global supply chains still rely on slow, manual processes—email, spreadsheets, and fragmented data. The economy moves fast but supply chains don’t, creating an inefficiency that affects the $13T of goods shipped annually and is one of the largest untapped opportunities in modern enterprise.

Agentforce for Supply Chain is reimagining the supply chain with an AI-powered platform for designing, automating, and running end-to-end business processes, with seamless collaboration through familiar channels like email. For Salesforce, this represents a massive growth opportunity in the back office, with innovations that flow into the front office. Customers are clamoring for more, rapidly expanding their use cases as we enter an exhilarating growth phase. As one user put it: “I’ve been waiting for this for 20 years.”

We are looking for a Senior Backend Software Engineer to be a key contributor on our team. You will be a hands-on builder, working with both engineering and product experts directly to design, build, and keep the foundation of our platform running smoothly. You will use technologies like Go, Postgres, Redis, and GraphQL. You'll drive projects, talk to customers, and help our industry finally catch up. This job starts as a hands-on builder role.

Responsibilities

Day-to-Day & Project Execution:

  • Work with product and design teams to build great new features for our platform.

  • Design and write high-quality code that is fast and reliable, using Go, Postgres, Redis, and GraphQL.

  • Lead technical talks and decisions about how we build the backend.

  • Talk directly with customers to understand their needs and help them.

Long-Term Goals & Strategic Impact:

  • Take charge of projects and make sure the backend is strong and can grow as we get more customers.

  • Help decide how we model data, design APIs, handle security, and manage all the behind-the-scenes parts of a big web application.

  • Help shape our company by joining in hiring and making our team better at what we do.

Experience Gained & Impact Made:

  • Experience Gained: You will gain deep experience in building and scaling a complex, distributed system at a fast-growing, well-funded startup. You'll master modern technologies (Go, GraphQL) and drive major product features from idea to launch.

  • Impact Made: Your work will directly make the supply chain industry faster and smarter. You will be a key voice in our engineering team, helping us grow our product and culture.

Required Qualifications

  • A related technical degree required

  • 5-7 years of industry experience as a backend software engineer in a user-facing web application

  • Fluency with databases, APIs, data modeling, distributed systems, and building real application backends (experience with Go and GraphQL is strongly preferred, but if you don't know these, we trust you're the kind of person who could learn them quickly)

  • A builder's spirit (you've built something on the side just for the fun of it, stay on top of open-source developments, etc.)

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced startup environment

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Enthusiasm for learning and growing as a software engineer—and for helping your peers do the same

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience with the Salesforce platform

  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

  • Experience designing or working with GraphQL API implementations.

  • Advanced degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.

  • Published works including contributions to open-source projects, patents, or papers

  • Exposure to the supply chain, logistics, or manufacturing industry
