You’ll be responsible for designing, evaluating, and deploying the AI systems that power Howie’s assistant. From programmatic prompt engineering and semantic retrieval to building eval frameworks and integrating LLM-based features into production.
What you’ll doOwn the development and deployment of LLM-powered features end-to-end.
Design and maintain evaluation frameworks for prompts, retrieval, and inference.
Optimize embeddings, vector stores, and semantic search for performance and scalability.
Experiment with the latest advancements in LLMs and apply them to user-facing product features.
Work directly with users to understand their workflows and build features that deliver value.
Collaborate with backend, frontend, and product teams on architecture and design decisions.
Experience shipping LLM-powered solutions into production.
Strong engineering background with TypeScript/Node.js and Python.
Familiarity with RAG, semantic retrieval, embeddings, and vector databases.
Experience with evaluation/inference platforms and prompt iteration.
Ability to move quickly and independently in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills and eagerness to collaborate across disciplines.
Based in Seattle, WA or willing to relocate (we’re in Fremont).
Bonus points: You’ve built and shipped your own AI projects.
