We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the NVIDIA Developer Technology group (DevTech) and work with a team of engineers on innovative uses of AI for games and graphics. The Devtech team works with NVIDIA researchers and leading game developers to bring groundbreaking research from across NVIDIA and the industry to gamers and 3D professionals in high-performance packages such as Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS) and others.

What You’ll be doing:

  • Apply AI techniques to real-time 3D rendering, computer games, and film production pipelines. Develop tools and products for real-time deep learning model development, PC games, graphics, and educational applications.

  • Optimize Deep Learning models' size and performance to enable their execution in a real-time environment and develop corresponding tools and frameworks.

  • Improve realism and the immersive qualities of PC games including intelligent characters, behavior of crowds and traffic, and human-machine interface problems.

  • Develop prototypes and perform experiments for new technology ideas, as well as write production-grade code for technology release to production.

What We Need To See:

  • BS degree (or equivalent experience) with 5+ years of experience in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field.

  • C++ and Python proficiency

  • Experience with Deep Learning Frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow

  • Good understanding 3D rendering pipeline and computer graphics fundamentals

  • Good understanding of transformers, LLMs, generative models, or text-to-speech models

  • Willingness to wear multiple hats, learn quickly and adapt based on technology needs of projects

Ways To Stand Out From The Crowd:

  • Experience with game engines like Unreal Engine 5, Unity, etc.

  • Recent experience with DL performance optimization and shown understanding of the subject.

  • Experience with CUDA (or parallel programming) and performance-centric deep learning.

  • Deep understanding of 3D graphics and modern GPU architectures.

  • Contributing to a popular open-source project or working on an interesting side project.

The base salary range is 148,000 USD - 287,500 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.

You will also be eligible for equity and benefits. NVIDIA accepts applications on an ongoing basis.
