As a Senior Software Engineer at Roadie, you’ll design and build systems that power large-scale logistics solutions. Your work will evolve the architecture and design of the backend frameworks to meet the ever-increasing scalability and performance requirements. The ideal candidate has deep technical experience, thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to do more than write code.
What You’ll Do- Design, build, and maintain core services and infrastructure that power Roadie’s logistics platform
- Identify and address performance bottlenecks to ensure reliability and scalability
- Collaborate with Product, Data Science, and other engineers to design and deliver high-impact features
- Serve as a technical owner for key services and components, providing guidance and mentorship within your team
- Participate in design reviews and code reviews, helping raise the technical bar across the team
- Take projects from concept to production, balancing pragmatism with technical excellence
- Stay current with emerging technologies and propose improvements to our architecture and processes

What You Bring
- At least 6+ years of software architecture and software development experience
- Strong understanding of service-oriented architecture, distributed systems, and API design
- Proficiency in Golang or Ruby
- Experience working with or migrating from monolithic architectures
- A problem-solving mindset and strong communication skills
- A collaborative approach and desire to contribute to team success
