The Tanzu division in Broadcom is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Tanzu Platform Runtime group. The Tanzu Platform is a pre-engineered and AI-ready private cloud platform-as-a-service solution that enables organizations to develop, operate and optimize mission-critical applications easily and securely. It helps organizations accelerate the delivery of applications by providing powerful abstractions, standardized automation and simple commands for application teams, platform engineers and IT operations. In this role, you will contribute to the Tanzu Platform by developing components that enable Platform Engineering teams to achieve operational efficiency at scale and supercharge the delivery of applications and AI implementations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the product managers and engineers in design and implementation of product enhancements and bug fixes

  • Analyze platform architecture and understand customer deployments to identify potential functional or performance issues and solutions to address those

  • Build and integrate with CI/CD pipelines

  • Troubleshoot complex issues in clusters, applications, and services

  • Improve the engineering tools and processes in the team

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or related field and a minimum of 5+ years of experience OR Master's Degree with 4+ years of relevant experience

  • Experience working on and contributing to distributed systems or application platforms

  • Proficiency in Go, Ruby, Java or C++. Ability to quickly ramp up and contribute to a large polyglot codebase

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and a methodical approach to solving complex challenges

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, applying them effectively during collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Must have legal authorization to work in the US

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Expertise in the internals of Cloud Foundry BOSH, containerization technologies, container networking, or MySQL DB engine & clustering

  • Proficiency in Cloud Foundry functionality and operations

  • Experience with Test Driven Development

Compensation and Benefits

The annual base salary range for this position is $91,000 - $162,000

This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents, and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.
