As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll build services for AI infrastructure, manage projects end-to-end, and collaborate across teams to enhance customer products.
About Voltage Park's Engineering Team
Voltage Park is your enterprise AI factory. We offer scalable compute power, on-demand and reserved bare metal AI infrastructure using NVIDIA GPUs, with world-class service, performance, and value. Founded with the mission of making accessible AI computing for all, our flexible, affordable GPU solutions power everyone from builders to enterprises.
We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you'll build services that help customers unlock our infrastructure's full potential and enhance their products through advanced AI capabilities. Our team is driven and committed to engineering excellence. We operate with a founder mindset-taking ownership and thinking long-term. As a Senior Engineer, you'll contribute hands-on across the stack-designing, building, and owning features end-to-end to help us deliver customer value quickly and reliably.
If you join us, you'll be an early team member and help us shape:
- Our future company culture
- Our engineering practices
- People that we hire
- The direction & focus of our products
Note: this role is in-office and you must be based in or willing to relocate to the Greater Seattle Area or the San Francisco Bay Area to apply.
What You'll Do
- Build core infrastructure and AI offerings that customers can leverage to accelerate and enrich their products
- Design and implement systems that help customers run advanced AI workloads with ease
- Implement fault-tolerant, observable systems that operate reliably at scale
- Tackle challenges across networking, security, and resource management
- Own features end-to-end - from design to production operations
- Collaborate across hardware, infrastructure, and platform teams to deliver cohesive solutions
- Contribute to a high-performance engineering culture rooted in ownership and simplicity
Who You Are
- 5+ years of experience designing, building, and operating production-grade software systems
- Strong coding skills in at least one programming language (e.g., Rust, Go, Python)
- Comfortable working across the stack to deliver cohesive solutions
- Thrive in fast-paced environments and navigate ambiguity with confidence
- Proven track record of owning complex projects end-to-end
Ideal Experiences
- Experience with cloud infrastructure, containerized environments, or orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker)
- Experience running or integrating with GPU infrastructure, AI/ML workloads, or distributed compute systems
- Familiarity with performance optimization, resource scheduling, or multi-tenant infrastructure
- Strong debugging instincts in complex or unfamiliar systems
- Prior experience in fast-moving environments or high-stakes infrastructure teams
- Familiarity with AWS or other major cloud providers
Voltage Park Team Culture
- You are ambitious and always looking for ways to improve. We operate nearly $1B worth of assets, and the opportunity for impact is limitless. This role will give you the most responsibilities you've ever had and hold you to higher standards than other companies you've worked at. Expect to do the best and most impactful work of your career at Voltage Park.
- You're focused on impact and don't get lost in the weeds on details that don't matter. You're excited to work on whatever solves the biggest customer problems, not just the coolest technical challenges. You understand when making 80/20 trade-offs is the right thing to do, and never compromise on your high standards when making those trade-offs.
- You have a strong work ethic. As a startup, we are trying to change the world and take on many large, $B+ competitors. Raw hours make a huge difference when facing overwhelming odds. Having a strong work ethic is a competitive advantage.
- You take ownership of your initiatives. When you say you'll do something, you get it done without anyone having to check in on you. You ship fully baked features end-to-end. You're accountable for the deadlines you set, and you figure out a solution if something unexpected occurs.
- You make tradeoffs when necessary and are open to new ideas. As a startup, we have to make decisions quickly and often with incomplete information. We also face problems that have no obvious solutions. Sometimes, the best ideas sound crazy at first. You don't dismiss your teammate's ideas and are open to being challenged by others.
