As a Senior GenAI Solutions Architect you will work with clients to build Generative AI applications on AWS. You will work with clients to understand their requirements and future state needs as well as their current environment and technical challenges. You will design and propose solutions, helping clients understand how the project will accomplish their goals. You will lead a team of GenAI Engineers to implement projects, and build cutting-edge solutions.

This position is 100% remote.

Responsibilities

  • Design and lead team through implementation of GenAI applications and solutions on AWS, including use of agent frameworks, vector data stores, Sagemaker Jumpstart and Amazon Bedrock 
  • Facilitate design sessions with clients and Mission Cloud team to create the strategy, architecture, and implementation plan for GenAI projects
  • Build and implement technical roadmaps in collaboration with other Solution Architects and Project Managers that are in alignment with customer goals and objectives
  • Communicate the proposed solution to clients so they understand the benefits, translating the technical elements into business language
  • Develop strategic roadmaps and project plans based on customer goals
  • Work with GenAI Engineers and Architects to break down complex development plans into LOE estimates, design documents and project plans
  • Implementation of customer roadmaps in coordination with GenAI Engineers; build and maintain Jira backlog, and ensure project tasks are completed on time, high quality, and progress toward the project goals
  • Document customer technical solutions that have been implemented in alignment with Mission standards
  • Be the technical liaison between customers and engineering teams; communicate complex technical concepts in easy-to-understand non-technical language
  • Work with Project Managers to set customer expectations, drive alignment, and coordinate timelines
  • Support pre-sales engineers in proposal design and positioning, including helping define an approach to solving a prospect’s technical challenges and helping the business development team estimate and plan projects
  • Be an escalation point for high-level technical and client issues
  • Mentor GenAI Engineers and more junior consultants
  • Support process improvement initiatives for GenAI projects
  • Support recruiting efforts by participating on interview panels

Requirements

  • Proven experience designing and implementing creative GenAI and ML solutions leveraging the latest tools and frameworks, especially from AWS
  • Experience designing vector data store solutions including database selection, configuration and schema setup
  • Strong python experience 
  • Experience with GenAI application architecture design 
  • Experience working with data pipelines, and demonstrated ability to handle unstructured, semi-structured data, working in a data lake environments
  • Experience with IAC solutions such as Terraform, AWS CDK or CloudFormation
  • Ability to lead projects, train, and mentor more junior team members 
  • Ability to work with implementation of application and data security, encryption, PII/PSI legislation, identity and access management across environments
  • AWS Certified AI Practitioner Certification (required within 6 months of hire)
  • AWS Solution Architect - Associate Certification (required within 6 months of hire)
  • Additional AWS Specialty or Professional Certification (required within 1 year of hire)

Nice to haves:
  • Ability to architect a solution using the broader AWS ecosystem including VPC, IAM EC2, and Lambda functions
  • Web development experience, especially in designing and hosting web apps or working with React 
  • Demonstrated knowledge of software development lifecycle tools and methodologies including version management with git and CI/CD pipelines and tooling 
  • Demonstrated experience with containerization and dependency management strategies

Placement within the range is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, and ability as evaluated during the interview process. The compensation range for the base salary of this role is: $125,000 - $171,550.
