  • 3+ years hands-on installation and support of analog POTS and POTS line replacement solutions, including packet-based systems for life-safety communications.
  • 2+ years of customer-facing IP network and VoIP advanced support in a cloud-based service provider environment.
  • Direct experience responding to end-customer cyber and risk assessments.
  • Direct experience with code compliance and enforcement at state, county, and municipal levels for fire-life-safety and elevator/lift communications.
  • Strong telephony installation and low-voltage wiring skills (discovery, testing, termination, cable management).
  • Working knowledge of fire panels, call boxes, and elevator controllers, including protocols and analog telephone interconnection.
  • Detailed knowledge of fire-life safety compliance at NFPA, state, and local levels.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and travel to customer sites in North America on short notice.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
