Why this role?

Our Solutions Engineering Specialist Team is seeking a new team member to support our go-to-market efforts around C/C++. The Solution Specialist is a subject matter expert in Application Security testing (SAST, SCA, etc) and will focus heavily on C/C++. You will partner closely with pre-sales teams, but your expertise and ability to deliver anything from a deep dive into technology to a compelling session for C-level executives is also leveraged in cross-functional initiatives with departments like Product, Engineering, Marketing and Enablement.

What You’ll Do:

  • Drive Deals and Revenue: Partner closely with Account Executives & Solutions Engineers on large deals and progress deals of all sizes by addressing customer's technical concerns through deep-dive sessions. Work closely with sales leaders to drive revenue through new sales campaigns and removing deal-specific roadblocks.

  • Be a Technical Enabler: Leverage your technical expertise to unblock both pre-sales and post-sales account teams behind the scenes, and contribute to the global Solutions Engineering community of practice through mentorship and influence.

  • Influence Product Strategy: Capture, distill, and prioritize field feedback and share with the Product team. Build influential, productive relationships with engineering and product teams to address gaps, double down on strengths, and steer product direction.

  • Create and Deliver Compelling Content: Create and confidently deliver innovative content and technical presentations on product positioning, differentiators, and best practices for Snykers, business partners, and customers. This includes speaking to and engaging large audiences (50+ attendees) both in-person and virtually.

  • Optimize Operations and Thought Leadership: Continuously optimize operations and coordinate resources to support deeply technical engagements worldwide. Work on thought leadership content, external marketing, blogs, and whitepapers to help build a pipeline for Snyk solutions.

What You Bring:

  • C/C++: You have 3+ years of software development, professional services or similar hands-on experience with C or C++. This includes implementing, maintaining or troubleshooting Yocto, Conan, make and other C/C++ compilers.

  • Experience & Skills: You bring 5+ years experience in a role with a customer-facing element.

  • Application Security Expertise: You have hands-on experience reviewing or fixing vulnerabilities identified using SAST or SCA tools (either professionally or in personal projects).

  • Collaboration & Leadership: You have participated in, or led cross-functional teams on key projects and can create alignment, rally resources, and delight stakeholders.

  • Communication & Mentorship: You have outstanding interpersonal abilities, strong written and verbal communication skills, and love to teach and coach as a habit. You have strong written and spoken English.

Annual Base Salary Range: $144,000 - $180,500

Target Commission Range: $61,000 - $77,500 (at 100% attainment of sales)
