The Boeing Company is looking for a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Systems and Data Analyst to join the team in Seattle, WA or Hazelwood, MO.
We are seeking a seasoned SAP Technical Lead to join the Enterprise Business Systems (EBS) Data Migration & Data Conversion team. This role provides deep SAP technical leadership for enterprise-scale SAP transformation programs-driving, design, build, test and cutover activities for master and transactional data into the SAP ecosystem (S/4HANA, ECC, Master Data Governance (MDG) and related components).
The successful candidate needs to be strategic thinker with strong SAP S4 Data conversion knowledge and excellent stakeholder influence skills-able to engage senior business and Information Technology (IT) leaders. The candidate also needs to have strong leadership, collaboration and communication skills. This role will partner with globally distributed teams of architects, functional analysts, developers and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality, auditable data conversions using SAP best practices and an automation-first mindset.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical leadership and subject-matter expertise for data conversion across large, complex SAP transformation programs; ensure technical standards, quality gates and deliverables are met
  • Design and own the Data Conversion (COE) framework; create, maintain and execute enterprise data conversion strategy, approach and standards
  • Research complex or multiple processes, applications, systems and data to identify functional requirements for application or system design. Consult with customers to clarify and refine complex requirements. Interpret and translate complex requirements into functional specifications
  • Design and oversee development of load programs using SAP-native and third-party tools (e.g., Migration Cockpit, LSMW)
  • Lead and perform activities to develop and execute tests to validate system functionality against specifications, including unit testing, system integration testing, dress rehearsals and pre-cutover validations
  • Define object dependencies, data sequencing and cutover choreography; create and manage cutover/runbook plans for iterative test/load cycles through go-live
  • Lead requirements gathering and source-to-target data mapping sessions with data owners and cross-functional stakeholders across multiple domains
  • Lead data cleansing, data transformations and pre-load/post-load validation activities; implement reconciliation and certification processes to demonstrate data integrity and traceability
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex extract, transform, load and mapping issues, including cross-product and cross-team conflicts and dependencies
  • Lead mock executions and dress rehearsals, validate transformation logic and acceptance criteria with business owners
  • Mentor and coach data conversion team members; conduct code/design reviews and enforce reusable components and develop best practices
  • Drive continuous improvement: reusable assets, automation of repetitive tasks, performance tuning and efficiencies to reduce future project costs

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • 10+ years of IT experience
  • 5+ years of experience with SAP S4 Activate methodology and Data Migration processes including preparation of conversion plan, timing of data loads, object dependencies, sequencing of tasks
  • 5+ years' experience with SAP S4 Hana
  • 5+ years of experience working with cross functional teams on SAP implementations
  • 5+ years of experience working with cross-functional and global teams
  • Led minimum 2 end to end SAP Data Migration programs

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • 10+ years of experience with SAP and S4 Hana and related sub-components
  • Experience in designing, implementing, and executing data transformation/conversion projects to S/4HANA environments
  • Experience in data management and hands-on implementation through the lifecycle of execution (e.g. requirements gathering, data mapping, data quality, data conversion, deployment)
  • Experience in design, development and customizing SAP Migration Cockpit, LSMW, and BDC programs
  • Experience influencing and collaborating with all levels of the organization including business and IT
  • Ability to coach and mentor others

Summary pay range: $119,850 - $173,650
