Position Summary: The Senior Talent Management Consultant plays a pivotal role in supporting the human resources and organizational development needs of our clients. This role is ideal for a dynamic professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about delivering high-quality consulting solutions. You will partner with diverse teams and clients to design and execute consulting engagements in areas such as strategy and planning, organizational structure design, role alignment, succession planning, compensation, recruitment and selection, HR reviews, policy development, and more. You'll interpret client needs, scope and design engagements, and deliver impactful solutions that align with business goals.
Location Requirement:
While this position can be conducted remotely, we are seeking candidates based in the Mountain, Central, or Eastern time zones to better align with client needs and ensure effective collaboration.
Primary Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Client Engagement & Project Delivery
  • Collaborate with service line leaders, business development teams, and client relationship executives to scope projects and deliver high-quality solutions on time and within budget.
  • Communicate and coordinate with client project teams to execute engagement steps, including:
  • Data gathering from multiple sources
    • Conducting interviews, focus groups, and surveys
    • Analyzing and summarizing data for diverse audiences
    • Presenting findings and recommendations to executives and boards

Training & Facilitation
  • Design and deliver high-impact training content on talent management and organizational design.
  • Conduct virtual and in-person sessions for leadership, management, and staff.
  • Present at select conferences and industry events.

Subject Matter Expertise
  • Lead initiatives in:
    • People strategy and workforce planning
    • Organizational structure and role alignment
    • Performance management systems and HRIS optimization
    • Succession planning and leadership pipeline development
    • Executive and management recruitment
    • HR policy development and compliance reviews

Advisory & Innovation
  • Advise internal and external stakeholders on best practices, innovations, and regulatory updates.
  • Identify opportunities to cross-sell services and contribute to proposal development.

Secondary Responsibilities
  • Mentor junior consultants and support client relationship management.
  • Contribute to research and service line innovation.
  • Represent the firm in professional associations and community events.
  • Participate in business development activities including public speaking and client meetings.

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, I/O Psychology, or related field.
  • Relevant certifications in HR, OD, or Compensation - Preferred
  • Master's degree highly preferred.

Experience
  • 7+ years in a Senior HR Generalist or Organizational Development role.
  • 5+ years of consulting experience strongly preferred.

Travel
  • Up to 20% travel to client sites and conferences as needed.

Wipfli values fair, transparent, and competitive compensation, considering each candidate's unique skills and experiences. The estimated base pay range for this role is $106,000 - $175,000, with offers typically not made at the maximum, allowing for future salary increases. The actual salary at the time of offer depends on business related factors like location, skills, experience, training/education, licensure, certifications, business needs, current associate pay, and relevant employment laws.
Individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, subject to participation rules and based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual and Firm performance.
