About the Role:

Under the supervision of the Senior Tax Manager, the Senior Tax Associate will coordinate the preparation and filing of global corporate income tax returns and provisions and ensure compliance with local and international tax laws. Telecommuting available up to 4 days per week within Seattle Metropolitan area based on manager approval.

You Will:

  • Provide relevant data to advisors and ensure timely and accurate documentation for tax filings. 

  • Drive preparation and submission of certain recurring tax filings, including extensions, tax compliance form. 

  • Support the filing of US corporate income tax returns and other related tax forms. 

  • Monitor and drive the completion of other state business tax filings, including financial statement accrual and tax return filings, for Seattle Payroll and B&O taxes. 

  • Review tax forms and filings for accuracy and completeness. 

  • Finalize and file forms, including FBARs, W-8/W-9s, Certificates of Residency, and other required tax filings. 

  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of tax playbooks and guidelines. 

  • Support and identify opportunities for the automation of routine tax processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.

You Have:

  • Position requires a Master’s degree in Tax, Accounting, Finance, or a related field, and 2 years of experience with tax compliance and consulting for multinational companies.

  • 1 year of experience with providing leadership on the preparation of recurring tax filings, including federal and multistate corporate tax returns; 

  • 1 year of experience with preparing tax forecasting and modeling; 

  • 1 year of experience with developing responses to tax notices and audits;

  • 1 year of experience with conducting federal and state tax research on both domestic and international tax issues, as well as performing ad hoc analyses on overseas tax compliance matters;

  • 1 year of experience with preparation and filing of tax forms, including W-8/W-9s, federal and state extension requests, and estimated payments and vouchers;

  • 1 year of experience with conducting analyses of evolving tax regulations, including Pillar Two, in support of federal tax return preparation;

  • 1 year of experience with preparing interim and annual income tax provisions in compliance with ASC 740, including review of AETR, Tax memos, and tax footnote disclosures; and 

  • 1 year of experience with tax technologies, including Alteryx, Tableau, PowerBI, Power Query, CorpTax, OneSource, and CCH.

Compensation Details. The starting base salary range for this position is typically $92,000.00 - $115,000.00. In the U.S., Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
