Capchase is on a mission to transform how hardware and software companies sell and get paid, revolutionizing the equipment financing space. Recently named a 2026 Monitor Best Company in Innovation, we're recognized for embedding flexible payment terms directly into the sales workflow — helping teams close faster without the friction of a separate financing system.

We're the modern platform for financing leading enterprise solutions: built for direct and channel sales motions, with $2B+ funded, approvals in seconds, and a seamless experience for both sellers and buyers. Backed by leading fintech investors including 01A, Thomvest, QED, SciFi, and Invesco, we've raised $700M+ in equity and debt to fuel our growth.

In just over five years, we've scaled from four co-founders to 80+ Capchasers across 10 markets — supporting thousands of companies globally and processing billions in payment volume.

Since our launch in 2020, we've achieved several milestones:
➡ 10K+ active vendors, channel partners and buyers

Why work with us?

Help accelerate an industry!

At Capchase, we are transforming how software and tech-enabled hardware equipment gets financed, we move and innovate fast. We’re always looking for the brightest minds to join us. We’re a diverse team of 15+ nationalities with a shared passion for helping innovative companies thrive. Join the climb with us!

As a Senior Tech Generalist, you’ll have real ownership across the stack—from building user-facing systems and internal tools to developing reliable backend services, designing scalable infrastructure, and working data to guide meaningful decisions.

This role is for engineers who enjoy understanding systems end-to-end and want the freedom to choose the right tools for the problem. You won’t just implement requirements—you’ll help define what we build, why we build it, and how it evolves over time.

If you’re excited by autonomy, pragmatic engineering, and seeing your work make a visible impact in a fast-moving team, this is a place where your contributions will matter from day one.

What You’ll Do
  • Build and Scale: Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end systems across frontend and backend, supporting both customer-facing workflows and internal backoffice operations.

  • Architect for Growth: Evolve our architecture to improve scalability, reliability, and security—making pragmatic tradeoffs that balance speed with long-term maintainability.

  • Own Core Financial Systems: Design and maintain the foundational systems that power our platform, including payment orchestration, ledger infrastructure, underwriting engines, reconciliation pipelines, and real-time deal tracking. These systems are business-critical and require strong guarantees around correctness, traceability, and auditability.

  • Integrate and Automate: Work with third-party financial APIs (e.g., Taktile, Modern Treasury, Kantox) to automate data ingestion, risk evaluation, and cash movement workflows.

  • Raise the Bar: Lead by example through thoughtful system design, high-quality code reviews, and mentorship—helping the team build clean, well-tested, and maintainable systems.

  • Operate with Impact: Design systems capable of handling increasing transaction volume and operational complexity, with strong observability and a focus on reliability in a financial domain

Who You Are
  • Technical Excellence: You have 5+ years of experience building and shipping production-scale software. You are proficient in Typescript and Node.js, and can choose the right tool for the problem rather than sticking to a favorite.

  • Systems Thinker: You see patterns and abstractions across the stack, designing solutions that scale beyond a single use case. You anticipate future challenges and build systems with long-term reliability and maintainability in mind.

  • Pragmatic Problem-Solver: You focus on business impact over technical novelty. You are opinionated but flexible, and you know how to balance quality, speed, and simplicity.

  • Courageous Builder: You thrive in a remote-first, distributed environment. You handle ambiguity with grace, take ownership of outcomes, and sweat the details when it matters.

Bonus Points
  • Experience in Fintech, credit risk modeling, or high-volume payment processing.

  • A background as a startup founder or early-stage engineer.

  • Familiarity with Kubernetes, BigQuery, or the Google Cloud Platform.

  • A passion for "tools for thought" and the work of computing pioneers like Alan Kay or Douglas Engelbart.

Why Capchase?
  • High Standards, Low Ego: Work with the "brightest and most humble minds" in a culture of "intellectual humility".

  • Impact at Scale: Your work will directly empower thousands of founders to build the "fintechs of tomorrow".

  • Remote-First Autonomy: We prioritize deep work and trust our team to manage their own time and impact.

We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, colour, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.

And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
