The Role
As a Senior Technical Recruiter, you will play a crucial role in driving the future of seamless experiences by attracting, hiring, and onboarding top-tier technical talent. You will collaborate closely with senior leaders across Engineering, ensuring that we not only meet our immediate hiring needs but also anticipate future staffing requirements. We’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys juggling multiple roles, and takes pride in delivering a white-glove candidate experience.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and engage exceptional candidates for hard to fill technical roles.
  • Partner with hiring teams to manage the entire recruitment process, including sourcing, resume screening, interviewing, and extending offers.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with hiring teams, ensuring alignment on hiring needs and strategies.
  • Provide a white-glove experience to all candidates, guiding them smoothly through each stage of the hiring process.
  • Track and communicate key recruiting metrics, candidate pipelines, and progress updates to internal stakeholders.
  • Build and sustain a pipeline of talented candidates for future opportunities, anticipating the needs of our rapidly growing teams.
  • Ensure efficient candidate flow and data integrity within our applicant tracking system.
  • Craft compelling job descriptions and structured interview plans, ensuring consistency and clarity throughout the process.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create and extend offer letters that reflect both candidate expectations and company standards.

Qualifications
  • 6+ years of technical recruiting experience, preferably in a high-growth technology environment.
  • Proven ability to build trust and rapport with hiring managers and leaders across different functions.
  • Demonstrated commitment to providing a superior candidate experience throughout the hiring process.
  • Comfortable working on multiple roles simultaneously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present confidently to senior leaders and executives.
  • Familiarity with ATS systems like Greenhouse and proficiency in Google Suite tools (GMail, GCal, GDocs, GSheets, Gemini).
  • A polished and professional work presence, especially when interacting with Metropolis executives.

The anticipated base pay for this position is $55.00 to $70.00 hourly. The actual hourly pay offered is determined by a number of variables, including, as appropriate, the applicant's qualifications for the position, years of relevant experience, distinctive skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location of residence and/or place of employment.

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
