About Us:
Sealing Technologies, a Parsons company, innovates and delivers high-performance deployable anywhere technologies that push what's possible at the edge, enabling organizations across the globe to solve complex challenges with speed and confidence. We design, engineer, and deliver products and deployable technologies built for environments where traditional infrastructure falls short.

Position Overview:
SealingTech is looking for a talented and experienced Senior UI/UX Designer to join our dynamic team and shape the user experience across our unified software suite. You will take ownership of the end-to-end design experience for our users, from research and concept through high-fidelity Figma mockups, reusable assets, and developer handoff. You will set the design vision, advocate for the user, and partner closely with engineering and product to bring that vision to life.

This is an opportunity to bring strategic design thinking to mission critical applications used by real operators in the field. You will have the autonomy to define how design happens on this team; including the standards, component libraries, and resources that the broader development team relies on. You will essentially be stepping into live products and expected to identify opportunities, drive design initiatives forward, and measurably improve the experience and value of what we ship.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Own the end-to-end UI/UX design process across our software suite, from concept and wireframes through high-fidelity Figma mockups and developer handoff, taking ownership of design decisions and confidently advocating for and defending them to stakeholders.
  • Design and build reusable Figma component libraries and custom design assets that scale across the suite, and develop/maintain corresponding UI components in React alongside engineering.
  • Communicate design direction clearly through mockups, wireframes, prototypes, sketches, and critique, and partner with product and engineering leadership to prioritize and sequence design work strategically against the roadmap.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to surface trends and insights the broader team isn't tracking, and translate them into actionable design initiatives that add measurable value.
  • Conduct user research and usability testing (interviews, surveys, studies) to validate designs and ground decisions in real user needs.
  • Create and maintain design documentation, style guides, and process resources to support consistency, onboarding, and engineering handoff.
  • Review implemented features for design fidelity, and mentor team members to build a culture of design quality across the organization.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • 6+ years of experience in UI/UX design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end design work across complex software products.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Figma (component libraries, auto-layout, variants, prototyping) — this is a core, daily tool for this role.
  • Familiarity with React and Vue.js, with the ability to design UI components and design assets optimized for these frontend frameworks.
  • Demonstrated ownership of design direction, with the ability to confidently communicate and defend decisions to cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strong visual design fundamentals (typography, color theory, layout, information hierarchy) and comfort sketching/rapidly prototyping ideas, not just executing high-fidelity polish.
  • Experience conducting user research and usability testing, and creating/maintaining design systems that scale across multiple products or teams.
  • Experience prioritizing design work against a roadmap, with excellent written and verbal communication for presenting rationale to engineers, PMs, and leadership.
  • Track record of leading design initiatives independently and delivering measurable improvements to product or team outcomes.
  • Bachelor's degree in UX Design, HCI, or related field; equivalent experience will be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience designing for and building in React, Vue.js or other component-based front-end frameworks.
  • Experience designing complex, data-dense interfaces for technical or enterprise users.
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design practices.
  • Experience in security-focused, government, or compliance-heavy delivery environments.
  • Experience working efficiently and collaboratively with AI tools (Claude Design, Google Stitch, etc.)
  • Experience working in Agile environments with tools such as Jira and Confluence.
  • An active Secret security clearance or ability to obtain one is preferred
