About The Role

We are seeking a talented UX Designer/Developer to join our Nuclear OS team and help create intuitive, user-centered interfaces for the nuclear construction industry. This role is critical in transforming complex nuclear project management into accessible, efficient digital experiences that will be used by engineers, construction teams, regulators, and project managers across multiple nuclear sites.

Key Responsibilities

User Experience Design

  • Design intuitive interfaces for role-specific applications including Supply Chain and Logistics tracker, Field Operations mobile app, and Safety Monitoring console
  • Create user-centered designs that accommodate the unique needs of nuclear construction professionals
  • Develop wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups for complex data visualization and project management interfaces
  • Design mobile interfaces that allow field workers to mark locations on digital drawings, add descriptions and photos, and submit issues instantly for off-site review

Development & Implementation

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to implement responsive, accessible user interfaces
  • Work within Palantir's technology stack to create seamless user experiences
  • Develop and maintain design systems and component libraries for consistency across NOS applications
  • Ensure interfaces work effectively across desktop, tablet, and mobile platforms for field use

Industry-Specific Design Challenges

  • Address the unique challenge that the nuclear construction industry is accustomed to traditional processes and tools, requiring structured training and clear usability for digital system adoption
  • Design interfaces that simplify complex nuclear regulatory compliance workflows
  • Integrating data from traditionally separate silos including engineering plans, project schedules, supply chain information, and safety monitoring

User Research & Testing

  • Conduct user research with nuclear industry professionals to understand workflow requirements
  • Perform usability testing with field engineers, project managers, and regulatory personnel
  • Iterate on designs based on feedback from diverse stakeholder groups
  • Support TNC's unique training programs for each group working with Nuclear OS

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in UX/UI design and front-end development
  • Proficiency in design tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite)
  • Strong front-end development skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React)
  • Experience with responsive design and mobile-first development
  • Portfolio demonstrating complex data visualization and enterprise software design

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience designing industrial, construction, or engineering software
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance interface design
  • Experience with Palantir platforms or similar data integration tools
  • Understanding of construction project management workflows
  • Experience designing for field/mobile worker applications
  • Background in safety-critical system interface design

Estimated Starting Salary Range
The estimated starting salary range for this role is $121,000 - $143,000 annually less applicable withholdings and deductions, paid on a bi-weekly basis. The actual salary offered may vary based on relevant factors as determined in the Company’s discretion, which may include experience, qualifications, tenure, skill set, availability of qualified candidates, geographic location, certifications held, and other criteria deemed pertinent to the particular role.
