The Role

The Senior Vice President (SVP) of Operations will play a critical leadership role in driving the operational success of Metropolis, with a focus on scaling operations and achieving strategic growth objectives. This senior leader will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, driving same-store growth, leading new location acquisitions, and enhancing customer experience through the deployment of innovative technology. The SVP of Operations will also lead a geographically dispersed team, ensuring alignment and effectiveness across the organization. This role is ideal for a dynamic leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is adept at managing complex initiatives and driving operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Driving Same-Store Growth: Lead efforts to achieve sustainable SS (same-store) growth by optimizing operational strategies, improving efficiency, and elevating customer satisfaction.
  • New Location Acquisition & Growth: Spearhead the expansion of Metropolis by driving growth through the strategic acquisition of new locations, ensuring operational scalability and seamless integration.
  • Customer Experience and Technology Deployment: Leverage innovative Metropolis technology to enhance the customer experience and foster growth, ensuring operational strategies align with customer-centric objectives.
  • Project & Strategic Initiative Management: Manage and oversee key strategic projects and initiatives, ensuring their timely execution and alignment with company goals.
  • Geographically Diverse Team Leadership: Effectively manage a geographically dispersed team, fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture while ensuring remote leadership success across different regions.
  • Operational Excellence: Lead continuous improvement efforts across all operational areas, driving efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and service quality.
  • Risk Management: Monitor operational risks and develop strategies to minimize disruptions and ensure business continuity.
  • Budgeting & Financial Oversight: Oversee the creation and management of operational budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to support strategic initiatives.
  • Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Assess and report on key operational metrics, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and providing insights to the executive team.
  • Compliance & Regulation: Ensure operational compliance with industry regulations, audit standards, and organizational policies.

Qualifications

  • Experience in High-Growth Environments: Proven success in leading high-growth teams, with a track record of driving year-over-year growth in operational and financial performance.
  • Adaptability & Fast-Paced Environments: Demonstrated ability to pivot quickly in a fast-paced environment through effective management of key operational metrics.
  • Change Management: Strong ability to lead and effectuate change in a rapidly evolving environment, driving continuous improvement and adaptation across teams.
  • Strategic Initiative Leadership: Ability to develop, lead, and execute key strategic initiatives that contribute to operational success and business growth.
  • Operational Excellence & Audit Compliance: Proven experience in driving operational excellence and ensuring compliance with operational audits, best practices, and regulatory standards.
  • Geographic Leadership: Experience managing remote and geographically diverse teams, ensuring alignment, engagement, and productivity across locations.
  • Advanced Degree Preferred: A Master’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field is preferred.

When you join Metropolis, you’ll join a team of world-class product leaders and engineers, building an ecosystem of technologies at the intersection of parking, mobility, and real estate. Our goal is to build an inclusive culture where everyone has a voice and the best idea wins. You will play a key role in building and maintaining this culture as our organization grows. The anticipated base salary for this position is $275,000.00 to $325,000.00 annually. The actual base salary offered is determined by a number of variables, including, as appropriate, the applicant's qualifications for the position, years of relevant experience, distinctive skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location of residence and/or place of employment. Base salary is one component of Metropolis’s total compensation package, which may also include access to or eligibility for healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a lucrative stock option plan, bonus plans and more.
