The Senior Web & UI Designer at Ondo Finance will lead web design, enhance user experience, and collaborate with teams to refine brand narratives.
About the company
Hi, we're Ondo Finance. Our mission is to provide institutional-grade, blockchain-enabled investment products and services. We have both a technology arm that develops decentralized finance technology, and an asset management arm that creates and manages tokenized funds. We are the global leader in tokenized treasuries, tokenized stocks and ETFs, and are building the future of institutional-grade financial services onchain.
Founded by folks from Goldman Sachs Digital Assets Team, we’re backed by some of the best investors in the world including Founders Fund, Coinbase Ventures, Pantera Capital, Tiger Global, and more. We are currently the leaders in the space in terms of AUM and are well capitalized to continue growing the firm. We're fully remote, with team members across the U.S.
About the role
Ondo Finance is bridging the gap between Traditional and Modern Finance — and as our Senior Web & UI Designer, you will be central to how we tell that story.
You'll own the design strategy and execution of Ondo's web presence; the primary surface through which our audiences discover, understand, and engage with our brand. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you'll deliver high-quality visual experiences and a UI design system that scales with the business.
This is a high-visibility, high-craft role. We care deeply about design quality, interaction precision, and a refined aesthetic sensibility — one that reflects the seriousness, trust, and ambition of what we're building at the intersection of traditional and decentralised finance.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end design of Ondo's web presence — from initial concept through to production-ready specifications — holding a consistently high bar for craft, brand cohesion, and visual storytelling.
- Partner closely with marketing to translate brand positioning and product narratives into compelling, on-brand visual experiences.
- Own and evolve web design systems that scales across pages, campaigns, and components — maintaining consistency without sacrificing creative range.
- Work directly with front-end developers as a true build partner delivering clean, developer-ready specs and staying engaged through implementation.
- Design and prototype motion thoughtfully — page transitions, micro-interactions, and scroll behaviours that feel intentional, not decorative.
- Deliver fully responsive designs across all breakpoints, with deep command of layout systems and how they behave at scale.
- Produce UI visual assets and maintain visual consistency across product surfaces, working in close partnership with the product design team.
- Build high-fidelity, interactive prototypes that communicate ideas clearly and pressure-test designs before development begins.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in web and UI design, with a portfolio demonstrating exceptional craft and range
- Expert command of Figma — components, variables, auto layout, and prototyping
- Strong design systems thinking: you build systems, not just screens
- Fluency in motion design principles — you know when to use it and when to pull back
- Deep understanding of responsive design and CSS layout models (grid, flexbox, breakpoints)
- Proven ability to collaborate with front-end developers and communicate design intent clearly in technical terms
- Strong visual and typographic sensibility grounded in brand coherence
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and working across marketing and product contexts simultaneously
Nice to haves
- Vibe coding skills strongly preferred — comfort writing HTML/CSS/JS to prototype or contribute to front-end implementation
- Experience with fintech, Web3, or institutional finance products
- Familiarity with animation tooling (Rive, Lottie, GSAP, Framer Motion)
- Experience working within an established brand architecture with multiple product surfaces
- Background in or exposure to interaction design for complex, data-dense interfaces
- Collaboration — you make the people you work with better
What we value
- Taste — you hold high standards and can articulate why a design decision matters
- Conceptual strength — you generate strong ideas, not just executions
- Ownership — you drive work forward without waiting to be directed
What we offer
- Competitive compensation including but not limited to salary, future token rights, and/or equity (according to your preferences) — We are well-funded and believe that great talent deserves great compensation.
- Full benefits (medical, vision, and dental) and flexible vacation policy (PTO).
- Remote-first team across many countries — You will be an early team member helping shape our vision, culture, and design practices.
- A+ colleagues — Our team includes alumni from: Goldman Sachs, Blackrock, Two Sigma, Bridgewater, SpaceX, AWS, Meta, Google, McKinsey, Coinbase, Circle, Uniswap.
- Best-in-class investors — We are proud to be backed by leading crypto experts and VCs, including Pantera Capital, Founders Fund and Coinbase Ventures.
