Launch and Product Marketing

The Launch and Product Marketing team is a newly established team that builds impactful launch and product marketing pages for Airbnb’s Guests and Hosts.  The Senior Web UX Engineer joining this team will be crucial in leading the full lifecycle of new launch and product marketing projects. This role involves working closely with Design partners to quickly brainstorm, prototype, develop, and deploy innovative animated experiences.

The team is part of the Client Products & Emerging Tech organization, which is responsible for building impactful product features for Airbnb’s Guests and Hosts with new and existing technologies, as well as horizontal components such as navigation that aim to provide a cohesive user experience.

The Difference You Will Make: 

  • Explore, shape, and develop new launch and product marketing experiences alongside cross-functional partners (Creative, Design, MarTech and Product); from ideation to implementation at scale 
  • Lead launch and product marketing projects that emphasize responsive and dynamic motion experiences
  • Develop prototypes to validate ideas while proactively considering long-term implications on technical design and architecture
  • Passion for creative iteration, partnership and a sensitivity for achieving pixel perfect, elegant design
  • Implement animations using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript for web-based projects.
  • Translate prototypes to high quality, scalable, and maintainable production code through iterative development
  • Partner with MarTech and other engineering teams to integrate new features that impact different areas within the product
  • Writing unit and integration tests, reviewing other’s code

Your Expertise: 

  • 5+ years of software development experience, or 2-4+ years with an advanced degree
  • Expertise in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Typescript
  • Expertise Implementing animations using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript for web
  • Experience with modern Javascript frameworks such as React, Preact, Angular, Next, Vue or Meteor.
  • Passion for delivering products end-to-end: from ideation through planning and scoping to implementation and experimental A/B testing.
  • Driving adoption of industry standards for building user interface including accessibility, internationalization, performance optimization, SEO, cross-browser compatibility, caching
  • Experience scaling and architecting CSS across multiple projects and products
  • Passion for building interactive and delightful user experiences

Your Location:

This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager. Our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
