The Senior X3 Operations Consultant leads Sage X3 projects, focusing on operational and financial areas while ensuring successful implementations and high customer satisfaction.
A Senior X3 Operations Consultant will participate in and/or lead the operational and financial areas of Sage X3 projects while continuing to expand their Sage X3 and consulting skills to drive successful implementations and delight customers. Given our broad geographical footprint, candidates can be located anywhere in the United States.
Objectives
- Review Statements of Work (SOW) and Master Service Agreements (MSA) prior to engaging on a project.
- Complete assigned tasks (with minimal guidance and oversight) within alignment of SOW, Business Process Review (BPR) documentation, and established implementation methodology.
- Maintain 70 percent or higher utilization on an average annual basis.
- Maintain appropriate Sage X3 certifications and continue developing skill sets in Sage X3 focus areas.
- Continuously develop soft consulting and client-facing skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead requirements gathering and design activities for the operations modules.
- Collaborate with the consulting team and client core team to collect information, lead, and/or oversee configuration, training, testing, and go-live activities of medium size or complexity.
- Lead activities and tasks, resolving functional questions with minimal escalation.
- Proactively communicate status, issues, and concerns to the project manager and/or architect/lead.
- Provide coaching and quality assurance to ensure team members are following implementation best practices.
- Negotiate resolutions to business, process, and functional issues with key stakeholders.
- Establish and maintain a “trusted advisor” relationship with customers.
- Follow established implementation methodologies to ensure consistency and quality delivery.
- Achieve utilization targets while maintaining high customer satisfaction.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, MIS, Computer Science, Finance, Supply Chain, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Eight or more years of ERP implementation experience.
- A minimum of three years implementing Sage X3.
- Results-oriented individual able to prioritize and execute activities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to describe end-to-end business processes and key integration points; work cross-functionally across different business processes; and demonstrate understanding of challenges faced by implementation teams.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Professional demeanor with strong customer-facing presence.
- Expertise in business process and application functions.
- Working knowledge of best practices within industries such as Agriculture, Cannabis/Hemp, Chemicals, Food & Beverage, Manufacturing, or Pharmaceuticals.
Preferred Requirements
- Sage X3 Manufacturing Certification required (or willingness to obtain). Additional certifications are a plus.
- Prior professional services consulting experience preferred.
- Experience facilitating group design discussions.

Compensation
Compensation is commensurate with knowledge, skills, and experience.
The general compensation range for the Sage X3 Senior Operations Consultant role is $85,000 to $120,000 per year, plus commission.
