We are seeking a Principal Solution Architect ServiceNow to join our team and drive the design and delivery of large scale enterprise ServiceNow solutions.
This role requires deep technical expertise in the ServiceNow platform, a strong understanding of enterprise governance, and proven ability to architect solutions that balance innovation, scalability, and maintainability.
The successful candidate will combine technical leadership, architecture expertise, and pre sales capabilities to design, present, and deliver ServiceNow solutions that create measurable value for clients.
- Responsibilities Lead the design of ServiceNow solutions across multiple products including ITSM, ITAM, ITOM, SecOps, CSM, HRSD, FSM and App Engine.
- Architect solutions leveraging out of the box capabilities first, extending with custom development only when required.
- Ensure adherence to the CSDM model and drive strong CMDB design and governance.
- Define integration patterns with external systems using REST, SOAP, JDBC, MID Server, IntegrationHub and APIs.
- Apply enterprise architecture principles such as TOGAF, ITIL and IT4IT to ensure scalable, secure and compliant designs.
- Establish and promote ServiceNow governance frameworks for portfolio, platform and strategic alignment. Define coding standards, naming conventions, security models and architectural guidelines for developers and admins.
- Contribute to roadmap definition, release planning and platform upgrade strategies.
- Engage with executive and technical stakeholders to translate pain points into architectural solutions. Support RFP responses, effort estimations and scope refinement for ServiceNow projects.
- Conduct workshops, demos and proofs of concept to showcase platform value.
- Explore and design AI powered use cases using ServiceNow Generative AI Controller, Virtual Agent, Predictive Intelligence and Document Intelligence.
- Prototype innovative solutions leveraging ServiceNow and external AI tools. Mentor developers, consultants and client teams on architecture best practices.
- Contribute to thought leadership through white papers, reference architectures and reusable assets.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you have:
- Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving. This may include using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights, or exploring AI's potential impact on the function or industry.
- Extensive IT experience including ServiceNow.
- Proven experience delivering at least two large scale multi product ServiceNow implementations.
- Advanced English both spoken and written. Advanced Spanish is desirable.
- TOGAF or other enterprise architecture certifications. ITIL4 certification.
Required Technical Skills
- Nice to Have ServiceNow certifications CSA, CAD, CIS, CTA, CMA.
- ServiceNow platform expertise including Studio, Flow Designer, App Engine Studio, Glide and JavaScript scripting, Automated Test Framework, ACL and security, UI policies and performance optimization.
- Integration expertise including REST, SOAP, JDBC, MID Server, IntegrationHub, OAuth2, SAML, SSO, LDAP and Azure AD. CMDB and CSDM expertise including Discovery, Service Mapping, reconciliation, population strategies and governance.
- Governance and architecture expertise including ServiceNow governance boards, coding standards, reference architectures and EA frameworks such as TOGAF and IT4IT.
- Pre sales and estimation expertise including solution sizing, scoping, ROI analysis, Excel and PowerPoint. AI and emerging technology expertise including ServiceNow Predictive Intelligence, Generative AI, Virtual Agent and AI integrations with Azure, Google and AWS.
