SpecterOps is searching for a Services Sales Engineer to support our consulting services business. We are looking for an experienced engineer with a strong background in offensive and/or defensive security operations who loves to help customers learn about how SpecterOps can help achieve their security objectives. 

Salary Range for US candidates: base salary annually, commensurate with experience + Commission 

  • OTE: $140,000 - $190,000  
  • Sr OTE: $190,000 -$230,000  

Location: This position is remote, based in the U.S. or Canada, with optional travel quarterly for in person company events and other ad hoc meetings 

  • Candidates must be authorized to work and reside in the United States; we do not currently sponsor immigration visas.

Responsibilities 

  • Works with customers to understand business drivers and how to align customer needs with SpecterOps services.  
  • Execute on sales opportunities from discovery to deal closure, with or without the support of an account manager  
  • Collaborates closely with sales and consulting services teams to maintain knowledge of service delivery ensuring a quality customer experience 
  • Act as an interface between sales and consulting services to ensure smooth transitions of opportunities to active engagements 
  • Author posts for the SpecterOps and BloodHound Enterprise blogs  
  • Write and deliver presentations at security conferences 
  • Support and guide prospects through security reviews and contracting 

Customer conversations daily will require familiarity with some of the following areas: 

  • Penetration testing, red team operations, and offensive security techniques  
  • Security operations, detection engineering, and program maturity 
  • Application and network infrastructure and security (Firewall, email security, proxies, etc) 
  • Cloud infrastructure and applications (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc) 
  • Common offensive and defensive security tools 

Requirements: 

  • Experience in Security Sales Engineering, Consulting, or other technical, customer-facing roles within the security industry. 
  • Deep technical knowledge of offensive and/or defensive security operations. 
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies and have an ongoing desire to stay current with the latest technologies. 
  • Desire to embody our core values of passionate curiosity, consistent improvement, empathy, sustainability, humility, and empowerment through transparency 
  • Ability to successfully complete a criminal background investigation. 
  • Travel: up to 25%  

Nice to haves: 

  • Recent experience in penetration testing, incident response or other security operations
