Bungie is seeking a Software Engineer in Test with experience in deployment and Linux environments to enable automated testing for our game server infrastructure. You will be integral in developing and maintaining our services automated testing pipeline and scale testing frameworks; building out our Integration suite and end-to-end (E2E) test framework.

The Shared Services team makes up the heart of Bungie’s Central Technology Online area, focusing on the implementation of Bungie’s centralized backend services. This team plays a crucial role in enabling our games to bring joy and excitement to millions of players worldwide by ensuring seamless online experiences.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyze and propose enhancements to existing automated testing pipeline with a focus on future Linux support
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive scale and integration test suite
  • Be a key contributor in architecture design and code reviews
  • Collaborate daily with a cross-disciplinary team

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Knowledge of core programming principles
  • Proficiency with C#
  • Expertise in automated testing concepts, best practices, etc.
  • Familiarity with deployment processes and technologies (Octopus, TeamCity, etc)
  • Ability to debug, root cause and fix complex issues only reproducible in a remote environment
  • Ability to develop complex products with high cross-team dependencies
  • Familiarity with large scale testing framework design and implementation

NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS

  • Experience with various Linux environments and their nuances
  • Experience automating testing of linux services in containerized/docker environments
  • Experience with automated testing of games and / or tools running on Linux
  • Experience collaborating with engineers on automated testing
  • Experience developing automated testing frameworks
  • Familiarity with AWS, Kubernetes, and Docker container practices
  • Familiarity with NBomber load testing framework
Listed below is this role's base pay range. In other locations that Bungie has approved for remote work, this pay range may be adjusted up to +/- 10% and some roles may be classified as non-exempt (hourly). 
This range is determined by an array of factors, including training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands. Additionally, it is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

$129,000$157,000 USD
