Description

We’re looking for a motivated and experienced Account Executive to join our growing Government and SLED (State, Local, and Education) sales team.

As the owner of all current and prospective SLED accounts in your assigned geographic territory, you will also be responsible for identifying and actively prospecting into whitespace, as well as nurturing and managing current accounts and actively growing and expanding into additional agencies and cost centers in existing customer jurisdictions.

This is a field sales position based in Georgia, North Carolina, or South Carolina.

About The Role

  • Own the full sales cycle for government and SLED accounts, from prospecting through negotiation, contracting, and close.

  • Drive territory growth by landing net new logos and expanding existing accounts through increased platform usage and multi-product adoption.

  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across government agencies, state and local organizations, and educational institutions, serving as the primary point of contact for all commercial and relationship matters.

  • Consult with clients to connect their goals and challenges to monday.com's platform, tailoring your approach to government and education use cases.

  • Navigate complex procurement processes, including RFPs, tenders, and government-specific requirements, and collaborate with legal and compliance to ensure deals meet public sector standards.

  • Maintain visibility into renewal timelines across your territory and partner with the Renewals Specialist team to proactively identify risk and expansion opportunities, ensuring a seamless experience through contract renewal and re-procurement.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of sales experience in a closing role, selling a software/SaaS product to government or public sector (SLED) clients.

  • Strong understanding of public sector sales cycles, including RFPs, procurement processes, and compliance considerations.

  • Proven track record of success and overachievement in sales, particularly in navigating complex deals with multiple stakeholders.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build trust and credibility with government and SLED leaders.

  • A driven self-starter who works independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.

  • Strong time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and consistently exceed expectations.

  • BA/BS degree preferred, or equivalent relevant work experience.

What monday.com can offer you:

  • Join a customer-obsessed team where transparency and ownership are how we actually operate - not just things we put on a wall

  • Work on a multi-product suite powered by advanced AI, where what you ship reaches hundreds of thousands of customers worldwide

  • Competitive salary, benefits, bonus potential, and equity eligibility for many roles — we believe people should share in our success

  • Grow fast through a dedicated L&D team, AI workshops, bootcamps, and internal hackathons - the industry moves quick and so do we

  • A collaborative, global culture backed by Employee Resource Groups and workplace teams across New York, Tel Aviv, London, Munich, Warsaw, Tokyo, Sydney, and more

The estimated annual base salary range for this role is $145,000 – $168,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors including education, training, experience, business needs, and work location. In addition to base salary, employees are eligible for either an annual discretionary bonus or a role-based, sales incentive plan. Certain roles may also include equity in the form of RSUs. Full compensation details, including any applicable bonus or incentive plan, will be provided in the hiring process.

monday.com offers a competitive benefits package, including comprehensive medical/dental/vision insurance, generous paid time off (vacation, holidays, personal leave and sick leave), fully paid parental leave, automatic 401(k) contributions, the opportunity to purchase company stock at a discount (ESPP), and more. What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
